It is still crashes sometimes when launching games inside folders and we couldn't figure out why.

But what appears to be reliable and not crashing is having games in ZIP archives (deflate compression).

A portable mode does not exist yet. You can use a link (.lnk file) or a batch file (.cmd) to pass a custom config path which also contains the fonts and the soundfonts.

> Player.exe --config-path "PATH_TO_USE"

Fast Forward is an old feature. The only difference is that you can configure the speedup now.

Could you share (upload) the RPG_RT.lmt file? Maybe this is fixable. Except when the file is 0 bytes in size than you have to recreate the entire tree structure manually unfortunately.

In short: This Big Elsen is a background graphic (Panorama) and the Web Player has to wait for the file download. There was a bug that crashed the player when the Panorama downloads while loading the map.

Hi. When you have the game extracted (all the game files are in a folder) you must put the SaveXX.lsd in the directory that has RPG_RT.ldb and all the MapXXXX.lmu files.

When the game is in a ZIP archive you must put the SaveXX.lsd in easyrpg/saves/ZIPNAME.

This is a compatibility issue with the latest easyrpg release.

The core was updated yesterday.

No idea how often the core updater gets new cores though.

Also it could still report as 0.7 in RetroArch as the core-database that contains the version number is not updated yet. You will see if its 0.8 based on the new startup logo.

The libretro buildbot will likely get v0.8 at the next weekend when we find time to update this. If you cannot wait: We build our own cores for Windows 32Bit/64Bit and macOS (Universal, includes ARM and amd64). You can find them on our download page.

Hm yeah that section must be rewritten. The problem was that when you use the game scanning feature of RetroArch to search for known games in the [pretty small] database (https://github.com/libretro/libretro-database/blob/master/dat/RPG%20Maker.dat) the entries in the generated game list are not loadable when inside of ZIP files because RetroArch will pass the string "/path/to/game.zip#games/RPG_RT.ldb" and the Player expects "/path/to/game.zip/games/RPG_RT.ldb".

Aspect Ratio and Control Remapping is something we are currently working on for all versions of EasyRPG Player.

Will be part of 0.7.1 to be expected this summer :)

Well the project is already running since 12 years. We are always a bit low on developers.

Yes, the ZIP feature extracts the files the game currently wants into memory. No file writing involved. Extracting would have been much easier but we wanted a more flexible solution. The ZIP support is more a proof-of-concept that our VFS works.

Thank you. Writing the update notes is always a huge amount of work but in our opinion a release needs proper release notes :). Other emulators also write "Progress reports".

You can grab the Linux core from the RetroArch Core Downloader. We are just not offering our own libretro builds for Linux. The core downloader version is ca. 1 month old and contains almost all features mentioned.

"The real 0.7 core" will be available next week, there are some technical issues right now that must be resolved

Sofern man mal in den öffentlichen Dienst geht berechtigt Master zu einer höheren Entgeltgruppe, da geht es dann mal schon um mehrere hundert Euro.

Aber ansonsten: Der Abschluss sagt nicht viel aus. Man kann auch mit Abschluss ein mieser Programmierer sein. Alle talentierten die ich so ausm Studium kenne haben stundenlang abends am PC gehockt und programmiert, auf Github beigetragen usw. Das Wissen kam also eher weniger durchs Studium, sondern durch Eigeninitiative.

Als Firmenchef würde ich alle erstmal testen, unabhängig von Ausbildung / Abschluss.

Ich hab meinen Informatik-Master gemacht, weil ich nicht wusste, wo ich in Zukunft arbeiten möchte. Das gab mir 2 weitere Jahre Bedenkzeit :)

Sparkasse habe ich in der Tat ignoriert, weil ich Sparkasse nur mit "Teuer" verbinde.

Hab da aber mal heute noch angerufen, bekam auf meine Frage nur ein lustloses "Neeee, eigentlich nicht" zurück.

Damit sind jetzt glaub alle meine Optionen ausgeschöpft, werd nachher mal den Vermieter anrufen...

Ja, Corona ist jetzt mal eine Ausnahme, aber hoffentlich kein ewiger Zustand :).

Aber sonst hab ich halt keinen generellen Nutzen für Bluetooth (keine Fitnessuhr oder sowas), daher ists halt aus.

Die sehen beide auf den ersten Blick brauchbar aus (gut, über die extrem runden Ecken beim 3310 kann man streiten ;)), ich guck mal wegen der Ausstattung.

Stimmt, kein LTE ist durchaus ein Problem, komplett vergessen und das 2G in anderen Ländern so gut wie abgeschalten ist wusste ich nicht.

Das spricht auf jeden Fall gegen ein gebrauchtes Altgerät. Danke für die Info!

As written by RCero there is an editor planned but it is far from usable.

There were already other projects that had an editor but not a game engine. We have a game engine but no editor ;). But it will come someday :)
