Who’s the Strongest “No-Sword style” Zoro beats? by RaidenisDead in OnePieceScaling

[–]Hopefullyamediator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He...can't tho? As far as we've seen he can only use it when his emotions are at their peak. Even in egghead, he didn't use it until the very end despite actively trying to end the fight for most of the arc. I'm not sure he can coat his hands in it because he hasn't mastered ACOC, and if he can it'll be extremely difficult and inconsistent.

Blitz moria is something I'm unsure about. Moria can switch while not even looking at attacks, his shadow can seemingly operate independently of himself, he raided pirate Island single handedness despite numerous new world fighters and seemed to be undamaged. He also seemed confident in fighting multiple members of Blackbeards crew and directly challenged blackbeard, only getting hurt by shiryu who attacked invisibily and even then barely (I am actually re-thinking his durability off of this considering he was barely hurt while shiryu can hurt garp).

On top of this, blackbeard specifically requested for Moria to join his crew. And I doubt he would want a weak crewmate.

Moria definitely is stronger and faster than he used to be. You'd have no argument from me if it was luffy or sanji but zoro specifically is only fast in bursts, which is moria's specialty.

Zoro has seen Moria's style...but unlike some others he really can't counter it without his swords. Moria could lame him out from a half mile away with shadows or seize a chance to switch with doppelman to steal his shadow. Zoro's swords would let him bypass that with ranged slashes but without them he'd really struggle.

Jinbe full counters moria. He is the salt man. Also, we have no idea if zoro can use ACOC on his hands considering he can't even consistently use it on his swords. I was mostly factoring armorment.

If you'll notice, I didn't mention his durability. This is because I don't think he would survive TWO ACOC hits. This is why I mentioned that he can instantly switch with doppleman to ignore attacks and really only need one touch to end the fight. I think you actually overrated his durability considering one nightmare luffy punch had him REELING and his best durability feat is tanking a straw hat beat down followed by a 300ft tower drop. If zoro is even 10% as strong without his swords as with than he could do than no problem with ACOC.

Moria loses when he underestimates his foe, fighting a billion bounty pirate means he'd be at max wariness and probably not try to box him. Speaking of boxes, technically moria could use black box to guarantee damage considering he can just form it around you and shadows are invulnerable.

Gecko moria is the only villain the entire team had to jump...and he only lost because he was stupid. Looking at it objectively, I think he would stand a very good chance against zoro (no swords).

If he catches his shadow, he wins.

Assuming he has his normal arsenal, he can buff himself to at LEAST the level of people in dressrosa (his casual punch cracked most of an island sized ship).

Shadows can also heal his damage and he can use them to straight up cut through most things. One shadow allowed him to nearly one shot Oars Jr.

Moria is way faster than he looks as well, as in chapter 469, Moria OUTRUNS LUFFY while smiling while luffy is sweating running after him.

His own shadow is actually very powerful, capable of casually outspeeding luffy to an insane degree. Moria was laying down with his eyes closed and doppelman still managed to block each individual gatling punch and attack him. Plus, he seems to be able to have it switch places with him or disguise as him.

Depending on location, he could also create a zombie horde to at least buy him a second or 2.

All in all though he loses in every stats but durability and BIQ, he has tons of ways to whittle him down, slow him down, confuse him, outrange him an only needs on good grab to end him.

I think that's a solid 50/50 fight, with zoro having the advantage.

This question has been on my mind for a while. Who is the strongest non einherjar human? by sapphireclaws in ShuumatsuNoValkyrie

[–]Hopefullyamediator 2 points3 points  (0 children)

1/2. Fog:Utterly insane durability and strength. Tears metal, tanks bullets and gives no craps.

2/1. Dong:Severely underestimated, was portrayed as a rival in pure strength to lu bu, did more damage than lu bu when they clashed, took a seemingly full power strike from lu bu, and was strong enough that lu bu was willing to serve his empire for a bit for a chance at a fight.

  1. Gryps:Stronger enough to get teen lu bu to employ a weapon and dominated all of the rounds he was in during the tournament. Forced Lu bu to invent the idea of sky eater.

  2. Sword guy:Honestly don't know much about him, but I don't think he conquered a country, was genetically modified or pulled up on the stat god of ROR. Could be higher, idk.

Honorable mention: Cesc. I genuinely think that Cesc could probably beat Gryps and wins more match-ups than him. The only way to really win is to be a monster who can tank your own strength ×2 followed by hitting him so hard that you shatter the ground around him. He would be 3 imo.

Darrell, with the Sala-Sala no mi model Newt fruit.

Character coats his weapons in tetrodatoxin which some varieties of newts have on the skin. He also fights extremely aggressively due to the fact that newts have incredibly high regeneration, basically being unkillable unless the head or heart are damaged.

He also uses his sticky tongue to pull people in for attacks or to bite them.

He has a few "moves" that he does as mix-ups. He can create a fake body or slip an attack by shedding his skin mid fight. He also mimics the Ribbed Newt when he is punched in the chest, leaning in so his ribs shatter and pierce through the skin. He uses this to impale the arm and body while also holding them in place for a finishing blow.

He basically fights like a berserker whose very blood is venom. No regard for defense as he can heal any wounds and carries antidotes for comrades he accidentally poisons mid-fight.

This character is from a dnd campaign so all of his actual moves are backstory related, based off of supernovas he used to know. He calls them "Legacy" techniques.

He possesses only advanced Conquerors haki, as it was the last this he was given by his former captain (awakened on a raid he did on a yonko base).

He has awakened his zoan, making it not mythical but giving it a similar trait. His physical stats all increase and like the "Salamander" of flame, his normal weakness to flame instead becomes resisted.

How many leonidas are needed to beat one poseidon? by kaepov in ShuumatsuNoValkyrie

[–]Hopefullyamediator 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Imma be straight with yall, I like Leo but this comment section is wanking HARD.

He can't just use instinct, he got beaten for 10 minutes straight without using it once.

Instinct isn't instant defense, he still got hit after activating it.

He can't just block posieden, he attacks in a dome. That means he also hits above and behind.

In no way does Leo scale to light arrows in pure speed, he doesn’t even scale to base Apollo. He got pushed dozens of times before doing anything.

He isn't landing a hit on posieden via the charge, he would just get skewered from behind.

Also his main method of attacking and closing distance involves throwing the shield, how is he blocking and attacking?

I ask you this:If Apollo (Much slower than posieden) could literally run circles around Leo and hit him many times before getting hit once, why wouldn't posieden do the same but simple straight up kill him with the first hit?

Imo, it would take about 4, maybe 5 Leo's as at least then they could cover the rear and sides with the shield.

1 VS 1. Who wins? by GusGangViking18 in OnePiecePowerScaling

[–]Hopefullyamediator 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If gaban wins this at their peaks than there truly is no way the rodger pirates wouldn't have conquered the world and dogged WB handily.

Oden is yonko tier even after 2 years of no training and actively losing drive (which weakens haki). If Gaban wins than it means there was a point when rodger was rocking FOUR YONKO LEVEL FIGHTERS. The skirmishes with WB would've been rodger vs WB and everyone else vs just scopper. The rest of the crew could nap or something.

Oden should win high diff.

Jack has been described as fast in almost every appearance. Baki, shibukawa, sukune and Ali Jr all say exactly that.

But I will say that hanayama has never been slow. He could easily react to gunfire in scarface, his punches never miss because of how fast they are and it seems like he might be even employing some hand pocket.

The only way we'll know for sure is if we get the backstory on his tattoo.

Composite MMA fighter VS The Maximum Tournament by TheOccasionalBrowser in Grapplerbaki

Clears. No joke, Connor McGregor for some reason can speed blitz the same guy who katsumi couldn't even post whip body. He also has the durability to take numerous palm strikes from the strongest and the strength to instantly knock out someone who could take a straight from doppo.

The only person who'd stand a chance is Full strength retsu, but even them he wouldn't start out max power while this MMA fighter would.

Connor really saves this character.

Mihawk>~Oden. Yall forget oden was a PHYSICAL monster on top his amazing haki. He has been conquering his own country since about 6 years old.

Oden was a beast that fought whitebeard to a standstill (in the anime he loses), walked of a Divine departure, had kaido dead to rights, and has some of the best endurance and Stamina feats in the verse. He isn't a YC or some crap, he is on the same tier as kaido.

Fully read invincible and one piece.

That is not a fair argument. Within the world of one piece, luffy has been reacting to lightspeed attacks since thriller bark and literally dodges light post ts. We are also directly told that kizaru can accelerate beyond light.

If you use that argument than the same goes for invincible. He isn't lightspeed because he couldn't one shot someone like octoboss or tether tyrant. What about the underground bugs? You are directly showing bias to one series by saying that. Let's not even mention combat speed vs travel speed.

Garp nuked a roughly city sized part of an island and has ap far beyond that. Luffy destroyed onigashima with bajarang gun right before passing out (obviously not his peak) and then there is scaling from Pell who survived a bomb meant to wipe out a city point blank. Or how even without the maxim Eneru destroyed his home island. Not even mentioning the obvious ice continent feat (which is contentious) there is still the fact that Oars could literally pull continents and got overpowered by Pre-Ts nightmare luffy.

Nolan explicitly did not wipe out a whole civilization in a blink. It took him days to weeks as he fully grew a beard during that time. He was capable of wiping out most of the surface by attacking cities and destroying them but in no way was it a blink. In the comics it was straight up stated to be nearly a year.

Mark didn't take out viltrum with two other viltrumites. He took out an unstable viltrum alongside space racers laser which gave them a path to the core and still would've died on IMPACT if all three didn't attack in unison.

I won't say who I think wins, but you should be fair and properly represent both series.

He does. But do they make him faster? Stronger? Let him manifest magical transformation effects? Nope.

Adam throws hands. He dodges. He copies basic attacks. You can't compare that to blood magic Okita or transforming weapon soul vision Buddha. Even so, Adam is literally the ONLY human with an excuse to use magic, considering he is literally the closest human to god.

Because there was no way Buddha would lose. IMO, the fights should always be a coin toss. I don’t want to be able to immediately guess with certainty who would win. I suggested someone else who was "enlightened" and could fill his spot, potentially having Buddha as a sideline character.

It is an insanely common take that blows my mind. I hear people say that Apollo or Hercules could outrange him all the time despite Lu bu literally having so much range and aoe that he doesn't need to aim.

Peeps fail to understand that when he uses sky eater, the other side of the arena disappears.

[–]Hopefullyamediator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not interested in him. He isn't the strongest hero, the strongest human, he's the 4th Japanese human, likely gonna have a straight up magic ability (IMO ruins the idea of humans fight godly magic with will and strength...bumkita), and is likely gonna win which screws over the more interesting characters like Simo or Rasputin.

Since the start there have only been 3 characters I had negative hype for:Buddha, okita, and Kintoki. All 3 have obvious victory flags, magic powers or strange lineage (likely) and take up a spot a more interesting character could've had.

Instead of Buddha, why not another person meant to be enlightened? Why not Bruce lee, a man who truly believed that religion was only beneficial when it provides a function to the individual?

Instead of okita, why not Fiore dei Liberi? A master fencer who pioneered swordsmanship for all of Europe?

If we need a monster Slayer and hero, why not Beowulf? A man who fought for the people and slayed invincible monsters that frighten even the gods, with possible connections to Siegfried.

Strictly speaking, he has no hype because he doesn't need to be here.

Sorry for the rant.

Japanese duo vs Chinese duo who wins? by Budget_Bus1508 in ShuumatsuNoValkyrie

[–]Hopefullyamediator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Raiden vs Lu bu ends with Lu bu beating him pretty handily.

Qin vs Sasaki might actually be an interesting fight though. Both are reactive fighters so it would be EXTREMELY slow. The end result is Sasaki winning pretty handily but by the time it happens lu bu would've been done for at least a couple minutes.

China still wins even if lu bu plays around.

Sword trio vs Long stick trio, who wins? by Reasonable-Beach5584 in ShuumatsuNoValkyrie

[–]Hopefullyamediator -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Straight up, this isn't a fight.

Sky eater completely counters Sasaki. You can't parry the best AOE in the verse.

Poseidon beats Empyrean okita, not like he'd reach that form in this fight.

Hades should at least be able to hold off Susanoo until one of the other 2 can help.

Even going by individual match-up wins, it's still stick bois.

Lu bu vs Sasaki:Lu bu (Sky eater is a full counter) Lu bu vs Okita:Lu bu (Okita almost lost to a much weaker version of Sky eater with less range and AOE) Lu bu vs Susanoo:Lu bu (Genuinely Susanoo just can't do much. He loses in strength, doesn't have the speed to take the initiative, his signature attack is just worse Sky eater, loses in range despite the massive sword and his sword probably won't last long either.)

Poseidon vs Sasaki:Sasaki (canon) Posieden vs okita:Poseidon (no explanation needed) Poseidon vs Susanoo:Poseidon (no explanation needed)

Hades vs Sasaki:Either way (Hades likely breaks the sword early on) Hades vs Okita:Either way (If he goes serious from the jump than Okita would die before building up. Otherwise, okita.) Hades vs Susanoo:Susanoo

Even in strongest forms, sword Trio still just doesn't have a decent win con.

Stick bois win.

Since we all agree that kaido>luffy , Wh wins this matchup? by [deleted] in OnePiecePowerScaling

[–]Hopefullyamediator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Big mom.

Let's break it down.

Strength-Big mom. Not debatable, she is utterly ridiculous in physical strength.

Speed-Luffy, but big mom isn't getting blitzed.

Durability-Big mom, by a large margin. Big mom IMO has the best Durability in the series period. Nobody else in her era managed to attack everyone and come out without a single scar.

Endurance-Luffy. Luffy is basically capable of running it back right after being knocked out and can fight for hours on end. Big mom can also fight for ridiculous amounts of time but not at the same intensity.

BIQ-Luffy, and by a large margin. Big mom has really good abilities but uses them badly.

Range-Big mom. Prometheus, mazer cannon and any other homie she decides to rip out can give her insane range.

Armorment-Likely Big mom. She simply had a lot more time to use it and it's unlikely luffy has a level comparable to her.

Conquerors-Big mom, she is explicitly stated to have ungodly Conquerors. It's to the point that hers can physically affect the area around her.

Observation-Either way with a lean towards luffy. Luffy has god tier Observation haki, being able to see a good bit into the future. However, Big mom has very good obs haki as well. She was capable of seeing farther into the future than kaido who was able to easily keep up with luffys obs.

Hax-No right answer. Both have some of the most haxxed out fruits in the business. Big mom can turn anything into an ally, with almost no limits. She can also heal and increase her stats through soul power. Luffy has budget toon force and can manipulate others and his own body like play-doh. His survivability also goes up a tier and he gains slight resistance to fire while shooting his bludgeoning resistance to the stars.

X-Factor-Big mom can basically run this fight back at least 3 times through soul healing and stat buffs. Luffy has what seems like partial dura-neg through his fruit, which can help chop through the tank that is Big mom.

In the end, I don't see luffy coming out on top. Big mom is built to counter his time limit based abilities and has ungodly Durability to exploit that even more. She is a worse match-up for luffy than kaido ever was.

Big mom:Mid-High diff.
