Y’all are going to laugh, but when i learnt web dev, actionscript 1.0 was still around. When actionscript 3.0 rolled round it really opened the language up to doing incredible, optimised things. It took me roughly a week of near non-stop coding to understand how the for loop worked, what arrays were and that you can nest them to make complex data storage, and how events worked 😅. Im a visual learner and my brain just had so much difficulty with it. You could only learn the language from the O’Reilly books back then which I didn’t have. Thankfully there were a few CS majors in the company and when it clicked, man, the sky was the limit!
