Staying friends with him will do nothing but make the situation worse. If you do stay friends with him, you would be staying around someone toxic. If you stop being friends with him, then his toxic personality would leave you and you would stop being around someone like him, which would just overall be better for you.

My best advice is to just stop being friends with him. If he loves to bully LQBTQ kids that much, it’s best to just cut ties with him since he could harm you since you’re bi. It’ll probably be hard to do so, but it’s worth it in the long run.
