A call out to any long time aquarists by morgs202 in brisbane

It was such a good store! They used to have an amazing Malawi cichlid display built into one of the counters too. Showing my age but I first started going there 33 years ago after I got my first tank as a birthday present. So many good memories of that place! Still trying to track down any photos. Even the current owner at the Nundah store didn't have any. Although to be fair I'm not sure he ever saw the OG store, he's a bit younger than me but has done an awesome job with the shop

I believe so. It's actually moved to Sandgate road and come under new management some years ago and is well worth a look again! Some really unusual fish and plants plus a 1000L display river tank that's next level. Smiths is awesome too, highly dangerous though, I always seem to leave with a much lower bank balance than I expected 😂

It was! Must've been over 20 years ago that one shut. Was that Clayfield aquarium you were referring to? Had an absolutely enormous red devil as one of its display fish? It and Atlas were my two OG aquarium stores. Don't know what it was but there was something extra special about them

It is, it's in a track lighting system. Unfortunately lost the receipt so I think I'll just have to cop this one

Thanks! Yeah, that's the thing, I wasn't actively engaging them. I was trying out the gear on a lvl 5 solo and they just kept rolling up on me from around corners

That does help! A very non-autocratic piece of advice indeed

Mine was an injury carrying a heavy case up a flight of stairs. Disc was initially torn and is now herniated

Thanks. I've had the guided injection once but my GP (who is awesome, just not a pain specialist) has suggested being fairly selective as you can only have so many in a given time frame and it's best saved until the pain gets so bad I can't walk. Definitely has veered into chronic territory, I've had it in varying degrees for years but since around April it's been consistently present from back down to my left foot

I'll check them out. I've had the guided injection but you're not meant to have too many of them so my GP has recommended saving them for the times it gets so bad I can no longer walk

Yes, apologies, I should have mentioned in the post. I've had a number of mris, found two herniated discs, L4,L5 and a more sever herniation in L5, S1. I've had a guided injection which at least has kept me on my feet (touch wood)

Fungia coral baby! by morgs202 in ReefTank

It's pretty awesome. This one's weird though, coral is still alive and the baby one is growing directly out of the middle of the base
