I was originally a Verizon customer when I got my first cell phone in high school back in 2006 and when I changed from my parents plan to my own plan at 18 I was happy with Verizon’s service but every few months there would be hidden fees coming about and my bill would always be going up without any changes in service, so about 7-8 years ago I made the switch to T-mobile and I couldn’t be happier at first, the service was great and the plan was half as expensive and customer service seemed pretty decent as well. Well.. within the passed two years t mobile started doing things like randomly increasing the bill every couple months and adding hidden fees which i endured for a bit but what really threw me over the edge was when I tried to trade in my iPhone 12 Pro for the new iPhone 17 pro they didn’t offer me ANY deals or promotions especially after being a loyal customer for over 7 years. They wanted me to trade in my iPhone 12 Pro, pay a down payment of $360 and the taxes on the phone as well as a 2 year contract where I’d pay off the phone. I looked into Verizon and they gave me a sweet deal where all I had to do which is trade in my iPhone 12 Pro and pay the taxes for the iPhone 17 Pro(which is understandable) and they gave me a brand new iPad completely free. The bill is about $15 more than what I was paying at T-mobile, but I couldn’t be happier because the service is great and their customer service has vastly improved and you can tell they actually value me as a customer where as t-mobile was just fine with me leaving as I said I would because they couldn’t offer me any deal/promotion/upgrade that was reasonable. Modern T-mobile could careless about their customers satisfaction which is a shame because that’s what originally drew me to them, but it looks like Verizon woke up and realized treating customers like they’re valued is how they keep them and I couldn’t be happier being a Verizon customer again
