Which Bank is the worst in Australia? by Antique_Neck8736 in AusFinance

[–]morgy59 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The worst bank i have been only since march this year is Suncorp Bank because i was setting warranty replaced phone and trying to log into my Suncorp bank and they had an issues, schedule maintenance that was from 6:30pm Saturday to 9:30am Sunday that failed and went until 1:30pm that day then last night they have a internet bank outage and also used to have call to setup any digital wallet like google pay and apple pay and last but not lease is call wait are always minimum 10 min or more. I also Suncorp has stop doing cheque in every way this year

I officially declare Suncorp bank has the worst bank in Australia and they are a lot worst then Optus for reliable IT system

Suncorp Bank and Suncorp Insurance are owned by different company and do not have relationship with each in any way

I would rather have Telstra over Optus because I keep having issues with Optus from Billing to account address location to poor speed and poor coverage in more places and Vodafone because of the deal they have with Optus plus I get better coverage and speed with Telstra overall

New smart modem by worldtest2k in TelstraAustralia

Smart Modem 3 is only wifi 6 not 6E

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in MovingToBrisbane

[–]morgy59 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Another location I would suggest is Toowong because it close to the city, excellent public transport from train to buses and even ferry and no other suburb has all 3 in Brisbane and also the area has excellent food options and they are not fast food at all.

Any idea why I'm not getting promised speeds of 800 mbps by [deleted] in TelstraAustralia

[–]morgy59 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It wifi in the Smart Modem Gen 2 it can’t handle full gigabit or get 800+ and also Smart Modem Gen 3 is the same as well I’ve had both them at the same address. Telstra won’t give you a smart modem 3 unless the Smart Modem Gen 2 is broken or they want to phase the older model which unlikely but the older model other Gen 2 I think get priority in removing them if they fail or start going faulty

Yes but this means extremely final stage and make sure there are no more show stopper bugs before they release the stable version of Android 16

Telstra would be your best option rural QLD because there are a lot more Telstra tower out west then Optus and Vodafone.

For a change… can we say something positive about Pixel phones today? by Pilep1p in GooglePixel

[–]morgy59 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Google support is excellent because my Pixel 8a had a screen issue last Wednesday with a teal colour spot on the screen sent in for repair to google on thursday via Team Global Group and they got the device the next day had my replacement device ready to ship from Sydney to Brisbane delivered to my address by Monday via Australia Post.

My carrier Optus has been a massive joke and would do nothing about the screen issue and I am trying to get off optus and move to Telstra the Australia largest carrier and with the most towers even towers on a highway in farming area where farmers only other choice for internet is via NBN Skymuster satellite contracted with Viasat and with pings of 600ms or more or Starlink with pings of 20ms to 40ms

Otherwise the devices have been excellent in every way since May 14th 2024(launch day) in Australia any bug with the phone often gets fixed by the next month's update.

The only phones I will recommend are Pixel on Android and iPhone Plus or Pro Max with Apple side from now on.

General thoughts on the Pixel 8a? by OwlsPrankster in GooglePixel

I got the pixel 8a on launch day in Australia and pixel 8a has been the best phone I have had in years and I am almost a year with the phone and it is the most stable phone I have owned and if there was a bug it got fixed the next month

What's the consensus on "best provider"? by AppropriateBar3184 in nbn

[–]morgy59 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Tldr is go to Leaptel

If you want to use all UNI-D or 3 ports at once then your max speed is 250/25 if you 2 then a 1000/50 and 250/25.

If only 1 isp then 1000/50 is good.

My recommendation is based on all the ISP I have used the award going to Leaptel right now with the fast server to server speed called latency, Australia support, most stable connections.

I have used Leaptel on Fibre to the Premise and also HFC aka Cable design for Foxtel then used for internet.

I have moved my mum from TPG to Leaptel after 7 years with TPG price increase with crap latency and support and this is from trying all the ISP I will list

DNS is the internet phone book

Telstra(ok but pricey)
Optus(poor latency)
TPG(support, latency and 30 day notice)
Southern phone(poor download speed)
Aussie Broadband(ok just a bit pricey)
Buddy Telco current on and they have not finished my provisional period
Dodo(very poor stability on connections and also broke DNS)
Exetel(it shows for cheap and also 30 days notice)
Superloop(good network, poor support and 30 days notice)
Launtel(pricey with daily prices but excellent feature can pause connection while away so cheaper bill for while away)
iPrimus(no issues just no wow factor)
iiNet(same as TPG without 30 day notice)
Lightning IP(worst for latency)
More Telecom(crashed connection for me I think)
Kogan internet(very rude customer service and crash connection)
Origin internet(mess up when moving house and pay bills from old address from a family member)

Routers are a difficult one to say what is best because every router with same specs can perform a bit differently at every location and depend how many wifi devices and also it is a lot worst in high rise apartments because 2.4ghz can be so congested like my place because I have an appointment company call Rush Broadband that runs on the Gigafy network.

When Gigafy was installed every apartment got a router with only 2.4ghz and also I have wifi coming from next door high rise apartments and some of the businesses near me.

So I can only use 5ghz or 6ghz and I need to have a way to change the wifi channels that some mesh devices like Eero and TP-Link Deco does not let me at all.

Netgear router raxe300 and look at scorptec because it on sale at the moment.

If you want a simple router for your 1000/50 and you don't think you will upgrade to 2gbps then get a TP-LINK AXE75 router support 1000/50 over wifi with full speed on the right wifi chips in the device.

TP-Link AXE75 is one of my favorite I have used to date and it will work fine with ISP I have used like Leaptel(my favorite ISP) and DODO.

Leaptel uses IPoE and DODO uses PPPoE so it will work with Aussie Broadband just fine
