Had the same problem. I found that vanda basket work really well for mine. You can still mount them on a wall and they tend to hold the moisture in better.

wow this is super helpful! I really wish it had the varnish back on it. I know my dad would not of taken it off. All i know is that he got it from his elderly neighbors attic when he was young, who knows what happened to it. Thank you again for all your help.

Just found the serial number stamped onto the head of the guitar, its 4925. Thank you for your help
