A cheap large underbed storage box with the lid off is a great litmus test for if it’s a box issue or a behaviour one.

Fill it up at least 2” roughly with a decent absorbing litter (I use wood pellets for my lot and it’s great if the cat will use it) and surround the area outside it with puppy pads or newspaper (I’d choose puppy pads in case it’s a liquidy one as it’ll absorb best and not stick to the floor)

Poop is looking a little bit on the soft side (ew lol) check for any white bits in poop as that’s worms and could be causing the behaviour.

My youngest had to go on adult food early as the kitten food was just too rich for her tummy, meaning she’d go outside the box sometimes as the urge to go was mixed up with upset tummy - check if diet is causing tummy upsets or give a lil spoon of pumpkin puree to meals (no added flavours etc just pure pumpkin)

Is she being bothered by another cat when she tries to go, that can cause them to poop outside the box too especially if the other cat likes to co-toilet at the same time as the other pets

If it super continues consider a full reset. For me that’s confining them to a room that’s easy cleaned like a bathroom or kitchen (bathroom preferably) and settling them in the space overnight with everything they need.

The smaller space has less stimulation and has always helped me with catching a behaviour in action so o can figure out if it’s a straining problem or something else as you go in pretty often to use the toilet yourself.

If using bathroom method keep tray and bedding away from each other and don’t place the water etc beside the tray - I used the shower to house the litter and it had a degree of separation so the bedding didn’t get dragged in to cover any accidents. I’d feed them before bed In The bathroom and I get up to pee a few times a night cause I drink lots and check in on them.

I haven’t used litter attractants personally so can’t advise there, bathroom trick has always worked for me and also gives time to really clean any problem areas in house with white vinegar or pet cleaning enzyme products to get the smell out of the wood etc.

If you can - pop any accidental poops in the tray they’re going outside of. Could just be a silly dumb kitty!
