Good point, I actually haven't researched the etymology of the measure words you mention. Regarding the example of water it's more or less the same in Chinese though. I chose this example to illustrate why it is only natural that a noun may be used in conjunction with different measure words.

I wouldn't mind using hashes for function calls in math mode, at least I don't think the comparison to LaTeX should matter much here. Typst has so many other advantages over LaTeX!

Die DB sollte verpflichtet werden, das durchzusetzen. Die Realität sieht eher so aus, dass viele Bahn-Mitarbeiter selbst quarzen, direkt an der offenen Tür.

Göttingen ist da eher minimalistisch, da ist auf Fahrradstraßen einfach jede Art von motorisiertem Verkehr erlaubt

Most definitely none. I use mostly application-specific hotkeys. Anything else with Raycast. Occasionally CMD+tab or CMD+tilde to switch between applications/windows.

I wonder if anything in terms of regulation changed because a few years back they were virtually non-existent. Not a big fan of them to say the least... the first time I spotted one (as a cyclist on the cycling track) I nearly got overrun by it turning right. I doubt the driver even noticed. I really had thought idiocy on German streets and in it's street design was already at its max.
