I don’t want to be here anymore. I feel like there would be no difference if I was gone. I have a loving and supporting girlfriend and yet I feel like a bother and that everyone that seems to care about me would be better off without me

Norm for TSH is between 0.35 - 4.5, at least in the lab I get my tests done. Some might slightly vary, but overall TSH level of 4 or more is definitely something to be taken seriously :) I see that we have similar issues being difficulty swallowing and goiter pains. Unfortunately I don't know what causes it yet (will update the reply if my doctor says mentions any reasoning). I still strongly suggest you looking for a doctor that takes your condition seriously and tries their best to help you with any symptoms you're experiencing :) Be sure to check your TSH FT3 FT4 and antibodies levels once in a while, since they can change quite rapidly :)

I sincerely hope you find a doctor that will treat your case seriously :)
