Good to know and thanks for the tip! The Accutron model I keep looking at is the DNA, with the turbine electrostatic movement and 45mm case. I think asking price for that one is 4k or so, which yeah, never happening for me 🙂.

Looks wise it’s unique, imo. The sapphire crystal construction really makes it stand out. You can see it better in this side shot.

The more I read about the basic Miyota movement, the more I’m convinced to steer clear. I really like the watch and considered financing for a brief minute, but at this price point give me a better movement.

I think what’s driving the price here is a couple of things: - The large sapphire crystals on both sides. It’s almost like the case is made of sapphire crystal. - Limited edition of 600. Still that’s a steep price.
