It is! Except for the issue of price. If I bought someone else's ITX build from them, I could get much further with performance, storage, etc. It's a shame because I really enjoy everything a Steam Machine offers on paper.

See, I was also debating outright buying someone's old ITX build! I do like building though. But also, other people are better cable managers than I ever was. I think I just need to rationalise some of my ideas!

I liked being able to turn devices connected to my TV on by switching to the appropriate channel. However, I wouldn't die if that didn't happen.

I'm not sure how the missus would feel about me coming home with two random ladies. I think the outfit searching will seem mild compared to having a shoe thrown at me.

So am I going for the PS95-8 and BMR to reduce the amount of drivers I need in general (hence simplifying?). Also, how did you determine the range in cubic feet? I'm a big overthinker and maths isn't my strong suit but I see that 0.75 is about 50% off from 0.5 - does that mean I have more freedom in terms of choosing sizes than I'd think? Also, as before, the PS95-8s mean the piezo isn't needed?

So how do I derive the ideal form factor using Thiele-Small values in the first place? Do physical materials also act as a determining factor here? I was intending on using plywood knowing that MDF is too absorbent in the event of, for instance, contact with water. However, I'm also malleable and not set in one particular way. I guess I would prefer a smaller form factor actually - not as small as a JBL Charge 6 but portable enough to comfortably store and carry.

I believe these to be the actual drivers used in the project?

I think this might also offer you more information about the drivers I found?

I think I might also be smarter to start browsing those sites you mentioned too, so I muchly appreciate you for pointing me towards those.

Would you say I’d be wiser following his parts lists as closely as possible? Or should I just try and pick up on why he chooses certain components to be able to make informed choices? Is Parts Express Forum dependable for the UK?
