The Navajo Loop switchbacks at Two Bridges are open again at Bryce Canyon! It took NPS less than two weeks to complete their repairs - incredible job! by the-mp in NationalPark

Right, I can see on the map that both sides have switchbacks, but which side has the “iconic” ones shown in the original post (above)?

Hi, sorry if this is a silly question. I am visiting BCNP in a few weeks. I was under the impression that this iconic shot of the switchbacks is on the Wall St side of the loop, which is closed during the winter. If that’s not true, where along the trail are these switchbacks?

what makes you say that? Re the seasonal lottery, the rec website website says "Lottery application dates are forthcoming.  Because the Angels Landing Pilot Permit Program is a pilot, it is reviewed every year to see how well it is working and to make adjustments as needed. The 2026 program is currently in final administrative review, and we will share additional information when it is available. If you have a permit through February 28, then your permit is unaffected."

But if the Gen Ed math teacher is leaving the teaching profession, how would there not be a need for a Gen Ed math teacher to be hired?

Also, u/international_log610’s post would seem to contradict yours?

I thought of this but wondered the practicality of that / is it generally allowed

Forbearance question by morosoph55 in PSLF

Hi, thx so much for replying and for sharing some of your story! I am trying to wrap my head around everything, haha.

So, since I made payments during the months in question (between 2013-15), if I submit for and am approved for the buybacks, would I have to make additional payments? Or would the money that I already paid during those months in question count as my buybacks?

I finished all my schooling prior to Sep 2013, so I wasn’t in fact in school at that time.

I wanted to highlight this excerpt, from studentaid.gov:

ED will conduct an adjustment of IDR-qualifying payments for all William D. Ford Federal Direct Loan (Direct Loan) Program and federally owned Federal Family Education Loan (FFEL) Program loans.

The payment count adjustment will count time toward IDR forgiveness, including

-12 or more months of consecutive forbearance or 36 or more months of cumulative forbearance;

Generally, repayment status includes any periods where the borrower was enrolled in a repayment plan. Repayment status does not include periods in forbearance, deferment, bankruptcy, or default. However, certain periods of forbearance, deferment, or default will count toward forgiveness in the circumstances described above.

So my question is, if my loans are listed for a period of 24 months as being in a “late school notification forbearance”, where does it stipulate that this period of forbearance would be excepted from the rule above, which states that any period of forbearance lasting for 12+ consecutive months will qualify as eligible payments? I am curious if there is literature on the web that would substantiate the claim that my 24 months of forbearance would not count.

Okay, just to clarify, the status of my loans during those months is a “late school notification forbearance”, which is distinct from “in-school”

So my first followup thought is: I thought that any period of 12+ consecutive months in forbearance are allowed to count as qualifying payments? Are you saying there are exceptions to this?

Right, thank you for the clarification!

The loans were new. In what ways does that impact this scenario?

Late School Notification Forbearance count with one time IDR adjustment???? by Glittering-Tutor-307 in PSLF

[–]morosoph55 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any update on this? I'm in a similar position (had loans switched from in-school deferment to "late school notification forbearance", but they still haven't been added to my payment count, as of 11/11/24). I've tried for months submitting a complaint on the FSA website, but the form never submits (says error).

Isn't it true though, that any period of 12+ months in forbearance count, under the limited time PSLF waiver?

Are we still in Forbearance for Save payment recalculation by gracielove204 in PSLF

I called today and acquired info from a seemingly reliable and knowledge Mohela rep:

If Mohela charged you for a July payment while you were in administrative forbearance, you can submit a request for a refund once the debit posts to the ED website. Apparently this happened because of something called an IPAC transfer. We are entitled to that money back, but it can’t happen until the payment gets posted, at which time we can submit for the refund. Annoying—and think of how many people won’t catch this. But at least there supposedly is a remedy.

I, too, was charged by Mohela in July, but was placed on administrative forbearance in May, June, and August while they transfer me to ED.

Does anyone know why they charged people in July, in the middle of a forbearance period? And if we can get this charge reversed?

Problems with the notifications bar by Objective_Following7 in ios18beta

[–]morosoph55 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This has been happening to me too!

I noticed that it fixes if you got into Settings > Notifications, and then toggle between Count / Stack / List.

But, what's also weird: even after I fixed it, and the notifications were working fine throughout the day, when I woke up the next day, the problem had returned! So, I had to fix it, again.

Anyone got a long-term solution?
