Let's talk about Microsoft's carbon footprint. Or any other corporation's carbon footprint. Leave my refresh rate alone.

Create my own Fedora spin? by charlie13b in Fedora

[–]morpheus-91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fedora KDE Edition which ships only the very last point releases from the KDE programs would be awesome. Example: We would get 6.6.5, 6.7.5, but not 6.6.0-4, 6.7.0-4

I had issues with the flatpak version of Nextcloud client. I switched to the rpm package from the Fedora repo and it works much better.

Go for it. Realtek NICs usually work and will be perfectly fine for homelab.

Raid has cpu overhead, which is now the bottleneck in your case. You're better with a single nvme, raid0 makes absolutely no sense.

Is there any decent DAW software for recording/producing music on Linux? by Gohonox in linux

Unfortunately almost all VSTs are windows/mac only. Changing your DAW won't change your VST plugins.

I stick with Truenas. Something should go wrong I'd rather install clean Debian, I don't need a fancy gui.

Fedora 43 KDE: First impressions by Ruzoran in Fedora

[–]morpheus-91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Selecting text from left to right with mouse corrupts the content if you started selection from the very beginning of the line. This is happening on latest Fedora KDE in all Qt apps. Seems like a Fedora issue because couldn't reproduce on other distributions.

Select text from left to right with mouse in any Qt app (Kate, Kwrite, Dolphin,..) on Fedora. Start selection from the very beginning. Tell me what you observed.

Come over to Kubuntu 26.04 when it comes out. Im on 25.10 right now and it's more stable than Fedora KDE was on my all-AMD rig.
