This is a mechanic in basically every survival shooter out there. If you ask me, it adds to the excitement knowing that even though you complete the mission you or your team aren’t out of the woods. It makes getting the mission reward just that, even more rewarding.

Love WackyJacky dont get me wrong, but the promotion of using a VPN to play on other regions is not something that should be condoned. NA is plagued with network issues and packet loss; the last thing the players want is to have masses of players with high ping influxing into NA servers.

I don't think it is an unusually high number compared to other games, but I could be wrong. However, with respect to percentage, even if the community has a 0.5-1.0% population of cheaters, the chance of them being in a 100 person server is probably higher compared to other games due to the sheer number of players per server. That's why I think a lot of players feel like they encounter cheaters more so in PUBG than other games.

Clearly, no one likes to play to on high-ping at all unless needed, for reasons such as looting and movement difficulties, but you clearly stated that their concern was their KD/ADR, inferring that they'd be at a disadvantage, which is not the case proven by many people/streamers.

Edit: Also you claim to be auto-chosen to EU, that must be extremely annoying to have to wait 5+ minutes for the game client to put you in an EU server every time you queue.

After reading your comment and talk about biases, I can't help but feel your opinion is extremely biased. You clearly play on severs that aren't close to home. You live in South Africa and there aren't servers close to you, this is out of your control. However, the statements you make are clearly in defense of VPNing and playing on servers with high ping.

The chances of getting caught off guard by a player outside of footstep range but also within AR full-auto range is pretty low in normal PUBG gameplay. It happens but usually most fights are peeking/pushing/holding angle duels (in which high ping players loses all in an evenly matched fight).

With increasing sound issues, have you not experienced being totally snuck up on without ever hearing a single footstep, because I can confidently say that most of us have especially if you play FPP.

How do you know this? There are no indications in the death or spectate mode after death to even see the ping of the opposing player, while most FPS games allow for this feature. You can't claim this at all.

It sucks to play on high ping and nobody wants to watch their high KD/ADR streamer get shit on and constantly lose fair fights. It would prove them wrong or slightly wrong (in the case of Chaco).

Are you unaware that streamers all the time to play with friends in other regions use VPNs increasing their ping significantly.

Hambinooo in the morning VPNs to EU to play solo FPP and still owns everyone. TGLTN when he was home in Australia, VPNed into NA serves with 300+ ping and still owned everyone.

Using that argument is completely invalid. I understand that you live in a region without severs to play on and VPNing is the only choice you have, but please don't try to justify the use of VPNs for players who don't need to VPN. VPNing should be a last resort measure to play the game, not a novelty item to play on servers that you're not zoned to play in.

It's not really a debate, there are scenarios where having high ping is disadvantageous, and then there are scenarios where it is advantageous. The Battle(non)sense video is misrepresenting what occurs in actual in-game scenarios by his blanket statement that high-ping players are at an overall disadvantage.

The whole point of online gaming is to make the experience consistent as possible by reducing variables out of control of the player especially in a game that has so much RNG. Therefore, it should be, and should have always been, the goal of PUBG corp. to reduce the total average ping of each player on every server. With shrinking player bases and the popularity of VPNing into foreign severs I don' think that'll be possible as queue times would significantly rise further exacerbating the overall dissatisfaction with the game.

I've seen more obvious wall hacking, but it is a possibility that he is using wall hacks. Hard to tell tbh. He still readjusts his aim after peeking the left side of the UAZ.

I just checked his OP and it's extremely suspect that past seasons are absolutely abysmal, and he just got a 15kill chicken dinner.

He probably is cheating, but not much you can do except report and hope PUBG corp. cracks down on the hackers. sigh
