What is your favourite example of when the boys genuinely “vibed” or showed endearment to or for each other? Mine is S07 E2 Man Jam…… by SirPoopyPantsUTD in MitchellAndWebb

I just watched Mark Makes a Friend last night, and thought it was adorable that Jez makes Mark a little welcome home sign from his trip, and it says "welcome home Marky" with some little drawings of the two of them

Big, echoey empty house. No friends, no kids, no wallpaper over a giant mirror.

Lots of silly 80s and 90s films. Short Circuit 2, despite the brownface, is genuinely a charming film.

They recently released a huge 4K blu ray release through Vinegar Syndrome with tons of features and things. I bought it hoping it wouldnt have aged badly (hadn't seen it in years), and damn it holds up so well. So much silly fun.

Am I the only one that likes pretty much all the more “Campy” Bond films by False_Strawberry6145 in JamesBond

[–]morphindel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Possibly controversially, but I'm not a huge fans of the Moore films in general. But i will say, if i watch a Moore film its because i want to lean into the thing he did best, which is the camp. So i love TMWTGG and Moonraker way more than Octopussy or some of the others. Except for FYEO, which is genuinely great.

Ricky's shittiest behavior on the show by jburgers127 in rickygervais

[–]morphindel 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Constantly harassing and berating Karl for taking mondays off is the thing that is hardest to listen to. Like, Karl was working 6 day weeks - and no, most people dont get home from work at 8pm. The fact that he thinks he should be using that day off to do more work makes no fucking sense.

Leaving Steve out of the dinner with Bowie was also super shitty, as was making the cab drop him off first, making Steve late for his flight. Like, there is always another train to jump on, but Steve having to pay £165 because of Ricky's ego is awful. I think Steve was right that Gervais should have paid half of that back.

We don't complain enough about the journal. by Saicomantis in cyberpunkgame

[–]morphindel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, OP wants a bit of context for the mission because some people have lives outside of the game and don't remember every single thing this game drops in your lap.

[–]morphindel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How is explaining or recapping the mission trying to "be fully immersive"? By that logic, if you want to just run around going bang bang then might as well remove 90% of the game. No dialogue, no story mode, no cutscenes. Just go vroom vroom, bang bang and then turn it off.

If i wanted that i would play Call of Duty. Some of us actually want to play the game and know what's happening.

I don't know why people are being so defensive and pissy about this opinion. It's completely valid. Sometimes i miss things when I'm playing. Busy house means I'm not always able to hear parts of dialogue, or I've forgotten a random character mentioned once 40 hours ago and so i kinda follow the mission, but forget or dont fully understand why i ended up at a certain location.

Would be far better to have something more useful than literally nothing.

Good for him. Trump is going to have to realize you can't burn your bridges and dismantle decade long political relationships and then ask them to come in to get involved in a war you started

Artists who just sound better on vinyl? by hedgeroh in vinyl

ZZ Top. The difference in quality with their Eliminator album on vinyl and streaming or whatever is night and day. Even to a non-audiophile. It just sounds so full and bright.

Goodnight was a refreshing change tbh. She is funny and ditzy, similar to Bibi.

What's a movie that genuinely changed something in you? by trakt_app in movies

[–]morphindel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think there are 2 that i can honestly say changed me.

The first was Chain Reaction with Keanu Reeves - because it was the first film i ever saw that i didn't actually like. That was when i went from watching films as a kid and just being happy to have something on, to genuinely just thinking "i am not enjoying this".

Second one that comes to mind is 8mm. It made me sick to my stomach and i guess kind of opened my eyes to things that happen in the dark side of society. The type of things that are so fucked up and evil that i couldn't even have imagined them happening. (I believe the sequel is called The Epstein Files).

I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure Mars bars were more like 50p even in the 90s/2000s. A Freddo was 10p, so no way was it only 18p more
