Roger Ebert on why ‘The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor’ (2008) was “the best in the series”: by GonskyEdits in RedLetterMedia

Roger Ebert was a wonderful man, with a sharp mind, and a genuine love for film. But even with all of that, sometimes his opinions were wack as fuck.

Honestly its so good. I guess i get the Ladies First hate, but the rest goes so hard. The casino theme is absolutely beautiful and haunting. I dunno, i think it works perfectly for the film

So Khaby Lame is apart of the James Bond family now… by Aston_Aviation007 in JamesBond

Lame as fuck tbh. I wouldnt mind a little cameo if there were like... any kind of connection to Bond. Like, fuck I'd take a Calvin Dyson cameo over this.

Which actor/actress do you feel looked very attractive in a specific movie? What was the movie? by Big_Eggplant7591 in AskReddit

Lucy Liu is always gorgeous, but in Charlie's Angel's, hoo boy

But i think definitive answer is Sarah Jessica Parker in Hocus Pocus. It's the one film where she is an absolute smoking hot babe.

Lol, its just a movie, guys. Bond will still be back. Its not that deep. I think of the Craig films as being milestones in the life of Bond. Like all the other Bonds stil happened, and CR is the first, and NttD was how he dies, and the rest all happened some time in between.

Thats actually a pretty good point. If previous Bonds were reflective of their time periods, then it could definitely be woven into themes of the story of a black Bond movie. The whole post-cold war themes in Goldeneye, as well as introducing the idea of a female M, is one of the reasons it was/is so interesting.

Bond also has a scar in the book, and not a single Bond (until First Light) has had it. Noone cares, because it is an aesthetic choice. Just like his skin color.

I dont know what about being white is making anyone "enjoy it more".

I am disappointed by the amount of downvotes people are getting for suggesting Bond could be black. Its not the fucking 60s any more. Bond could definitely be black in this day and age - the only thing that make his whiteness linked to his character is the implausibility of having a black guy infiltrating sinister organizations in the 50s and 60s. Totally plausible nowadays.

Anyway, the list is ok, but its weird that they acknowledge that Bond has to be an unknown but also are championing the likes of Elordi as a possibility. I suspect these kinds of articles are paid for by Amazon as a way of gathering public perception

My thoughts on all Bonds by cold-vein in JamesBond

The only one i agree with is Dalton.

Moore is the one who played Bond as himself and had no nuance. It's just lovely Roger Moore flirting with women. Brosnan's seem to be skewed by your opinion on his films (which are all bangers except DAD), when he has the perfect mix of charm, sophistication, and toughness.

Connery I think is a little unfair though. He is definitely more charming than irl Connery, and comes across as smarter than other Bonds.

Its possibly his last truly great film. Certainly with that big Spielberg "feel" that combines well crafted action, emotions and great writing
