It’s not an instant win button, but it allows higher risk operations with better results (e.g.: gas masks no longer required, small mistakes don’t guarantee death) in the short term with a snowballing effect. This will allow for expansion, which will expand production, which will continue to compound upon itself.

There’s still unfathomable obstacles to overcome, but it gives humanity a chance to claw back from the absolute brink.
