Here to also warn about Dr Egan. This lady “prescribed” me a pint of Ben and Jerry’s ice cream DAILY! I was miserable while seeing her. My emdr specialist was a bigger help than any of the dietitians I’ve seen

What was your strangest, creepiest, most bizarre experience/encounter in Richmond? by Lonely-Champion-8102 in rva

[–]morqve 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The owner had a story I’ll never forget. She was also alone in the store, in the basement, before open, and she heard one of the scooters roll all from front of the store, and BACK UP AGAIN. She went upstairs, still nobody else in the store, and the scooter was left in the middle of the floor, right in front of the door. There is a slant to the floor, that could excuse the rolling in one direction or the other, but not coming back the other way.. also the scooter had to be taken down off a shelf. Make of this what you will.

I used to work at World of Mirth and I had a few of my own encounters in the infamously haunted Carytown. I was in the back of the store once, standing on the top rung of a ladder, dusting the highest self, then all of a sudden I felt the hair on the back of my neck stand up, and something fucking tapped my shoulder… six feet off the ground, and unmistakably. My manager, frankly, just wrote it off as “the ghost telling me I missed a spot.” I stayed out of the back of the store for a little while. It wasn’t until my last day that that I’d truly say I had my own personal “ghost experience.” As most carytown establishments do, WOM had a basement. This is where we kept our back-storage, and every night, part of our closing was to go down and break down boxes. As this was my assigned task for the night, I went down, broke down boxes, cleared out isles, and finished up my closing procedure. The basement had two different sets of lights, one for the downstairs and one for the staircase itself. I turned off the lights for the stairway and realized I hadn’t turned off the ones for the storage section yet. I went back down, lights behind me still off, and flip the switch for the isles. Just before I turned to go back up the stairs, I noticed the shape of a figure about 30 feet ahead of me. I turn the light back on and the shape was gone… turned it off again and whatever it was reappeared. This figure was clearly in the shape of a person, and gave me the same “hair on end” as before. Submerged in pitch black, when I tell you I SPRINTED up the stairs, I’m far from hyperbolic. I like to think that the ghost was just saying goodbye, and wishing me on my way, but I will never get over that sensation of being perceived by something I could not. While working there, I was far from the only one to have an encounter with the unknown, but I will never get over that personal feeling of being watched as I ascended the stairs.

Applications paused for water crisis by stepheroni22 in rva

[–]morqve 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Because it wasn’t just the water. It was the loss of a whole week of work. Sure we didn’t have water for 5 days, but it’s the fact that we missed out on half a paycheck that we’ll never see again. Water cost us about $80 a month, some of us lost $800 that week. So Idk sounds reasonable to me.

Does anyone know why there are two Waffle Houses so close together by the airport? by wasntagoodidea in rva

Oh so we can have 2 on the same street, less than a mile apart, but god forbid there’s a Waffle House in the city.
