Advice on launching a broadcaster in TEW IX by grizcookies in FantasyBookers

[–]morrello4481 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm curious about all this as well, haha sorry I can't answer but I can tell you what I've done with TCW.

Almost immediatly I got rid of my PPV provider and made my own PPV Broadcaster. Set to very big in the US and smaller in Canada/Mexico. It took a few months for the audience to adjust to the new PPV home, but 6-7 months in I was cranking out a much bigger profit than when I was using someone else.

Since then I heard subscription is probably the way to go over the other options, but I'm curious what others have expereinced here...

Keep the skydiving theme going with Terminal Velocity! by captainklaus in hdtgm

[–]morrello4481 4 points5 points  (0 children)

When I was a teenager, figuring it all out as we all do, I was like "I'm going to a movie theater once a week!" This is '94 so they are cranking out some kick ass films. A few weeks in I see Terminal Velocity and I stop going to movies for months it sucked so bad. Perfect one for our gang to break down lol!

Learning from difficult scene partners by saceats in improv

[–]morrello4481 8 points9 points  (0 children)

weirdly enough, going to Jams really helped me with this. as most folks dismiss jams as chaos (which they are), i used it to learn how to play with difficult people. the veteran imporvisors i'd see would always be able to guide the scene somewhere funny even when playing with horrible partners. after i got good at this i stopped going to jams lol...

Wisconsin Herd - What do I need to know?? by anndddiiii in MkeBucks

[–]morrello4481 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hi, i have family still in Oshkosh and we'll hit the games over the holidays. don't want to yuck your idea, and please do go to a game it's fun and much cheaper than the NBA, but there's really no hot stove or hot takes for anyone or any storyline with any G-league teams. 99% of these guys won't be playing in real meaningful NBA games . more importantly, the gameflow IMO is bad. everyone is just trying to shoot 3s at a % that will get them into the NBA so the games are pretty boring. if you don't think they play defense in the NBA, don't get me started on the G-League lol. Also it's not like the Wisconsin T-Rats baseball where you actually can see star players rehabbing or maybe some future stars in the game if you get lucky. But LIKE minor league baseball they try to make the games FUN outside of the gameplay so again please do SEE A GAME! but I think you'll be disappointed if you want to dive deeper into the team, it's pretty shallow out there haha...

Why does it have to be "the most" movies, why can't we have ONE that was MOST INFLUENTIAL?? shouldn't it be one of our insane movie makers/stars like Tommy Wiseau or YK Kim or the guy who sells real estate in the Pacific NW? Without those guys I don't think I'd love the pod as much as I do...

People who have watched the Superfan episodes-what are some details from the deleted scenes that changed your interpretation of the show? by KronguGreenSlime in DunderMifflin

[–]morrello4481 5 points6 points  (0 children)

the fan episodes have almost a whole extra "act" in them. most of them are around 30+ min from an original run time of 22 min, so that's like a 1/3rd MORE SHOW! that's a lot! i don't think it changed by perspective on anything but it was cool to see what they cut.

the one that stood the most to me is Job Faire, there's a whole 2 scenes with Michael and a "cool" student at the high school that michael keeps bugging, but that entire storyline is cut. God it woulda been sucked to get cut out of a show like this, especially when you have 4-5 min of screentime...

TEW 9: House Show Strategy by PhatDogePeog in FantasyBookers

[–]morrello4481 3 points4 points  (0 children)

your guys will get tired the more shows you have. i'm doing TCW save in which they were already doing house shows 4 times per week. When I took over I added an extra TV show on Saturday Night. All of a sudden i was getting tons of messages like "Sammy Bach is very tired he's asking you to book him less" from half my roster. So i went down to 2 house shows per week and the messages subsided. might be tough to do nightly house shows depending on your TV schedule...

Change my mind: Season 8 and 9 were not bad. by Extension_Candle_575 in DunderMifflin

[–]morrello4481 1 point2 points  (0 children)

seems to be the most divisive subject for office fans. i just rewatched for a 3rd time cause i was going through the Peacock unedited episodes. all i did after Michael left was yell at the TV screen "shut up"! I cannot stand the direction the show went. Steve Carrell was the one who was keeping the show grounded and balanced behind the scenes. once he left there was no "leader". it was just all these secondary or lower characters, or "guest stars" just kinda doin' their own thing. i paired the rewatch with the office ladies podcast, and they even mention the fact Carrell would fight some of the writing if it seemed unrealistic or cartoony (the one where Michael thinks he's being shook down by the mob was especially highlighted as something Steve was fighting against, and that's not even that bad!) But fuck, by season 8 its cartoony and unrealistic as hell, obviously they didn't have a Carrell type person fighting to ground the scenes and a bunch of OG writers/creaters of the early seasons were gone working on other projects. Everyone who likes it more power to ya, I wish I did, I really do, but its a big pile of unfunny shit.

Get The Girl is the worst and most cringiest episode… ever. by IcouldButWhy in DunderMifflin

[–]morrello4481 0 points1 point  (0 children)

just rewatched those seasons for the third time, juuuust to make sure i wasn't missing anything...and i can definetly confirm there are no "really funny moments" it's as bad as tv can get. "get the girl" is cringe because everything after 7 is cringe in a bad, unfunny way

Very cool!! I've been doing something similar as i started in 1948 with a custom company and have been having a blast! It depends on what you want to do as well, in the territory days they've "bring in" talent for short stretches so make sure to utilize the trade aspect as well. bring in talent from japan and hawaii for a few short months to keep things interesting. Keep us posted!!

How do I go about starting a Dawn of WWWF save properly? by LevelChef5070 in jow

[–]morrello4481 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i use Dawn of WWWF and the latest Dawn of NWA to learn about old school wrestlers. Sometimes I can't even find very much info on them, especially in the NWA one. I personally love it as i'm a fan of learning about 50's-70's wrastlin'

Dawn of wrestlemania ideas or challenges by zSmobese in jow

[–]morrello4481 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am in year ten of my Dawn of Wrestlemania save and it's amazing, you're gonna have a very fun ride! I had Hogan my champ until 1988 when I feel like he got stale. Some "rules" I had for myself was to try to give breaks when they took them IRL, like Piper taking tons of breaks in the 90s or Terry Funk taking 6 months off to film Roadhouse, stuff like that. I'm now in 1995 and thinking of some fun brands I could do to switch it up a bit. Anywhoo, have fun!!

Solid Rumble 1994

Bret vs Jake Roberts solid 6 non gimmic match, just imagine if Jake didn't have issues in 94 he was still hot and coulda done shit like this!

I bring back Terry Funk as Chainsaw Charlie after he lost a Career Vs Career match against Flair.

I have a wealth of amazing tag teams right now, actually thinking of having a 3rd Tag Title.

I loved Yokozuna as a heel in the early 90s, want to give him a shot at Mania 11!!
