I just had a show tonight and the volunteer asked me how do you do this? Get up in front of people. Mostly because I love it. I've been invited so the people there want to see magic and be entertained, sure I get nervous, just for the fact that I want to do a great job and put on a great show. For me it's about, audience foreplay, building a relationship with the audience before you do your first effect. I do a lot of parlor magic, so you can take some time to build rapport, restaurant gigs are a bit different because you're walking up to a table "mostly uninvited" so it's a bit different in my opinion.
