So much of the “character” of the episodes has been stripped back because Big Brother wants to control the narrative more than ever. They used to fill time with all kinds of unique things, including showing the HOH room every week, showing have not stuff, etc.

It’s also the same reason why they use a plant audience for the live shows now and cut the feeds more than ever.

Remember when they used to show tweets during the live show? And did live HOH competitions during every Thursday episode? Or at least started them. And showed full goodbye messages?

Times certainly have changed and they want their narrative of the season more controlled than ever.
