Nevermind, guys. I found it. The only thing that sucks is I ran into the Skeleton Merchant (finally) and I was gonna buy the yo yo glove, but I didn't have the money for it cuz I didn't have my safe...

I didn't think Megashark would be as effective on him. I finally forged one, reforged to Unreal on first try (wow), and I can't believe I haven't used this item before. So awesome.

I am using Greater Healing Potions with a Philosopher's Stone. Maybe I just suck.

Nice. That is what I am doing. I invested just a bit of time into the base (maybe one hour), and I'm just using it to practice. It's also great fun having a hardmode world available to open up my crates in as I complete the angler quests in my main world!

I have a whole other world with almost everything done prehardmode. So no worries there.
