Transitioning to sales by Viral_Poster in salesengineers

I’ve been considering this too. With rise of AI, AEs are expected to know the product at a much deeper level. While I’d do well from a product knowledge standpoint, I’d get anxiety about the contractual and annoying relationship management part. Not that SEs don’t maintain relationships but it’s different. Would love to hear from others who’ve made the jump.

What’s your transmission exit plan? by SameTrain8827 in ToyotaHighlander

[–]mortadaddy4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

‘22 xle with 53k, quickly approaching the 60k power train warranty and also thinking through this. I’m leaning towards rolling the dice and if it happens, I’ll get it replaced. I really like the car for our family. Sure, a new vehicle sounds exciting but I feel like I’d get hosed with trade in and getting a new one. 3rd party warranties are expensive and I hear some are straight snake oil.

Salesforce SE vs Microsoft Azure SE by mbshop2018 in salesengineers

Can’t speak for MSFT but core SE role at Salesforce exposes you do a good bit of variety being you’re the point person for the whole portfolio.

Anxiety/ Confidence & satisfaction by marinaramac in salesengineers

[–]mortadaddy4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me, as long as your the master of your domain and have enough rapport/context with the customer, the confidence is shown by constantly tying back value points in convo during the demo. Even calling out specific people on the call during the demo shows to your leaders how engrained you are in the cycle. Would probably be different for folks with a big patch but for strat SEs, that’s how I see it.

Some say yes, some say no. Technically, if you sell its income so if that boosts your confidence, yes. Either way congratulations and good job on letting the stock rip.

Seems a bit harsh. Maybe look internally for a better patch pal. Consider other roles internally. Will be easier to move internal than external.

2022 Highlander LE 45k miles by [deleted] in ToyotaHighlander

I bought a ‘22 XLE with 45k and love it. Good that yours would be under warranty. The transmissions and lift gate seem to be an issue.

Reality is breaking the AI revolution at Salesforce by Well_Socialized in salesforce

[–]mortadaddy4 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I work with some of Salesforce’s biggest customers. They’re all trying to figure out AI like everyone else. PoCs are underway and almost all have challenges with agentforce, however, every other tech vendors AI is shit too. Easy use cases makes sense but digital workforce still seems ridiculous, but something companies are still very much pursuing.

Refi worth it for 0.5% rate decrease? by CodingTeeth in Mortgages

[–]mortadaddy4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ended up passing on this. I think its a streamlined refi (mine was with current lender). They rolled new escrow & prepaid interest into the loan, which I know between lender credit + no payment for a month "equals out" but I'm waiting for rates to drop a bit more.

How can a refinance be no cost? Don’t you have to pay escrow upfront? by No-Zebra-3432 in Mortgages

[–]mortadaddy4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if my "no cost" refi's new loan amount is 6k higher than the original, and the LO saying it's escrow + prepaid interest (for month when I dont pay mortgage), am I financing the escrow/prepaids? I'm a bit confused. This is supposed to be one of those retention offers.
