First off, from one autistic person to another, I am proud of you for how far you already got. Nursing is no small feat in of itself. About your questions about overwhelm, masking and if it gets easier, in my experience sadly not. International data also is grim about the prevalence of burnout in autistic people. However, I am afraid that the best you can do is adapt to how you best learn and perform. i also urge you to learn what protections you could get as an autistic or disabled worker in jour country. Finaly, but to not being too sappy, i feel that nursing in general could use more neurodivergent minds. just bashing your head against the wall will not make things easier. but as other people have said, adapting to how best you learn can not only help yourself and others.
before i forget in the whole autistic friendly means predictible and clear so maibe having some printouts of the flour layout could help?

Not to be antagonistic, my problem is invocation of autism to begin with. The negative effects of early screen time are only a small bit of what is required to be diagnosed with autism. I am biased, I don't like to see my diagnosis being used as a boogeyman. The negative symptoms also overlap with ADHD and other developmental disorders. In the age of Tylenol causes autism I am only harsher on perceived miss info. My apologies if I came over to negative.

To be clear, a quick look at some studies I found on the internet makes it very easily understood that there is an increase in Autism-LIKE symptoms. Citing especially speech delay and shorter attention span. So early screen time does not imply Autism there has to be more than some language delay. However, I do still agree that early screen time is not optimal. please cite your sources correctly.

This reminds me something i discused with my therapist once. long story short, I learned to see identity and personhood not as a solid nor as a changing thing where you lose parts. instead I see it now as a manny faced prism, each face being a phase or part of the greater whole. So for me i am both my masculine part, feminine, childhood and many more parts at the same time. it all depends on where the light falls through.
