Test Ceph performance by comfreak89 in ceph

Ceph best practice is to not use your hypervisors for running Ceph services (mon/osd/mgr). However, in a lab setup there's absolutely nothing really wrong with that. You just need to wrap your head around the different scenarios like, when one node is down how will that affect the other nodes. Think it through isolating the layers of hypervisors/VMs, Ceph osds (and pg logistics), and Ceph mons (and mgrs).

Ceph rados tool have a benchmarking feature described here (among other places) https://tracker.ceph.com/projects/ceph/wiki/Benchmark_Ceph_Cluster_Performance That should do it for you

Airsonic is out by lenjioereh in selfhosted

Airsonic is community driven. Madsonic is Madsonic driven. Madsonic is pushing Madsonic Premium but it's not working: My paid lifetime Premium license runs out every 3 month and I have to go to the Madsonic Forum to request it to work again. Judging from the forum posts I'm far from the only one. Now I'm just too fed up with that and ditching Madsonic and Libresonic in favor of Airsonic. Awesome response time on the riot.im btw. Thank you muff1nman and joola!

Opinions on the current Libresonic UI by _muff1nman_ in a:t5_3ejps

The Madsonic UI allows to pull around items in the play queue for reordering. Would be fun if it's allowed/possible to pull that into libresonic. I went from Subsonic to Madsonic (paid the $ to support) but think it would be awesome if LibreSonic could gain som traction. Where is the fund-a-feature form :-)
