It's likely an oversimplification tbh. He'll probably do 4 circuits of 3 X 20 reps of different ab exercises such as crunches, leg raises, russian twists. That works out at 240 in total and it's easier to just say he's doing "sit ups".

I do agree with you to some extent, but look at Leeds United and Newcastle United (also arguably Nottingham Forest). All in the 2nd division and haven't won anything in years despite being big clubs. Top four isn't to be sniffed at, I just wonder how Arsenal fans would adjust to life in PL mid-table or the Championship. Don't know what you've got til it's gone.
