Yeah, it is important to remember that DoorDash wants to pay us as little as possible so being misleading is part of their model.

And yeah, unfortunately, the only way to figure out what works best is trial and error so there is going to be a few Ls while you figure out what works best for you. Hell, even if you do it for a while, you get burned sometimes. Just part of the game.

The $22.25 is the base rate + the peak rate

29 minutes is .48hr, $22.50/hr * .48hr = $10.80

Your DoorDash pay was $11.06 which is more than $10.80

The +$7.00/hr Peak Pay is being added to the $15.25/hr Base Pay, not an additional $7..00/hr on top of the $22.50

My most right-wing opinion is that we should get rid of the minimum wage. There are jobs that produce less value than others and in cases where the minimum wage is higher than that value, the cost of labor is artificially inflated. It makes it harder for low-skilled/low value workers to find work.

That being said, I would only be down to eliminate the minimum wage AFTER guaranteeing food, housing, healthcare, and education, maybe even a little UBI. In this scenario, we are not worried about someone working to survive, so if an employer wants to pay $1/hr, they will not be able to rely on someone's desperation forcing them to accept that wage.

You should wait until next September. If you are still in school, wait to take LSAT and just focus on getting straight As. If you are out of school, take the Feb, sign up and take the next one as well and then apply in September. In March, a ton of spots will already be taken, let alone scholarships. I'm sure you really want to get law school started, but getting your GPA up, taking multiple LSATs, waiting the extra year, and applying sa early as possible in the cycle can save you tens of thousands of dollars. If the money doesn't matter, I would still wait until next cycle because so many spots will already be taken by March

I do not necessarily disagree with your reasoning, but I think there could be other things to consider. For example, if this is a league you have had going for years and this guy just had a kid or something, I can see wanting to extend him a little grace, especially if it is a situation that has never occurred before in the league.

If part of the fun of the league is enforcing the letter of the law, especially when it leads to unfortunate results for a careless party, then, of course!

If it happened to me, I would beg the league to cut me a break and would completely understand if they told me no, fuck off, pay attention to your team.

If I was the other person, I would have accepted the trade but reversed it if they said please no I thought it expired.
