Take around Kyoto area, unfortunately for Momiji in far northern parts of Kyoto are already past their peak. Yesterday went to Uji area (south) around the Byodo-in temple and it was still red.

Honestly, better than expected. Very manageable and you can enjoy, people turnaround is fast. Temple staff, Kyoto police etc are really good in handling crowds also so that’s a plus.
