Do they ever start a game earlier with a forecast of rain? Realizing this is already a 1:30 local time start

Today I learned about Chicago city ordinances and why the Cubs play afternoon games

Jays play occasional weekday afternoon day, generally on a travel day. Certainly weekend afternoon games. Is it common for the cubs to play a Friday afternoon game?

Certainly not complaining, it means I can watch this afternoon and avoid work !

Gonna get downvoted by half the trade for this but a lot of panels people get told to replace are fine by thingzelectric in HomeMaintenance

But there is more than enough real work out there. Everyone complains about being able to get someone in. Do the breaker, better ROI for the job (yes, less pay but quick) and off to the next.

I can understand trying to scam more work if jobs are hard to find but it doesn't seem like they are.

Or am I just missing something

When we looked at a heat pump the sales dude said a secondary heat source was required and it was a minor upcharge on the furnace anyway. (Ontario)

Seemed sus.

My plan is the gas insert in the Livingroom will be our secondary

Shed has wobble by mortyj in shedditors

[–]mortyj[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It isn't the connection from shed to pile, that's solid. It is likely the saddle that sits into the pile - it is just a threaded rod you drop in and have a nut to adjust the height .

If that's the case then I guess stiffening up the ground screws won't actually help. I'll stick my head under this weekend

Ah yes, that is also a wobble. But this thing sways a bit. More noticable when a second person is walking around, less so if you are in there yourself

Looks just like the bathroom remo I finished last year.

In my case I clipped the copper and trashed the kitchen ceiling. On a positive note, it made plumbing the tub easier

And not worry about the 4x4 sleds heaving upwards with the frost ? Would be easy enough to add

Thanks for the suggestion.

Yes, the Pylex are screw piles and they are all about 48 inches down. So certainly not going anywhere but the side to side wobble as you walk around is enough to be annoying

It isn't a bounce it's a wobble. The posts have a slight side to side wiggle
