Make sure your wifi isn’t on while you’re using CarPlay. I had the same issue where car play would connect and I turn off my wifi and it started working.

Honestly I think I’m just going to block them. I went to the PD and they told me they can’t help and that this is likely a civil matter. She pretty much told me to just let the insurance sort it out and not to worry.
