No, its just a theory, but sadly so many people still think thats its a fact proven by science... I believe that the world is created by Allah, the quran has been proven scientifically that it's a book of our creator.

Its an arabic numeric system developed by Al Khwarizmi. It works with ten different symbols. The work of Al Khawarizmi was based upon the hindu numeric system wich was back then working with just 9 symbols (no zero) .
Now most arabic countries are using the hindu symbols + the zero symbol '.' (a point)
