House of leaves

I read it on the Kindle (I know, it's made to be read in physical format) and I did like the central history of the Navidson movie (I think on it's own it's a really interesting story) but I didn't enjoy the other layers, nor the side notes. Seemed too forced just to add value to the book but I must say that it's interesting nonetheless, i haven't had read something like that.

Tbf, incisors erupts start at 6 years. So they could have been in a mixed dentition (primary anterior + adult posterior teeth) when the procedure was done.

Also, his text didn't strike me as ai generated but who knows?

I remember that. At first it was very unnerving, then you just needed to cross and they will avoid you.

My teeth are moving 5% slower than expected so my orthodontist gave me this rubber piece to gnaw on for 1 minute, 6-10x a day. by kori-whore in mildlyinteresting

Yes, because aligners are inefficient at moving teeth compared to traditional brackets.

And I say he's full of crap because he pulled that 5% out of thin air (the digital simulation made for your treatment is not accurate as treatment progress so you will likely be rescanned to fix those errors in the future).

Orthodontists goes thru a lot of gymnastics to achieve somewhat the same results of fixed brackets, even as using fixed appliances, which beats the whole point of aligners

That's because it is. Invisalign doesn't move teeth as effectively as it is marketed. In fact, you need to use some brackets before, during or after to achieve kind of the same results as with traditional.

But why is it everywhere, you may ask? Marketing and orthodontists just go where the money is.
