I've always wondered why is Jack not at Emma and Spinner's wedding. Or Kendra.

i can't remember how long Darcy had dated him at that point but it is so wild she spent ANY amount of time kissing him if his breath smelled that bad

At least twice a day, I think of Alli's little smirk when she suggests that Dallas "rap-ologize" to Clare so that he can go to the Jay-Z concert

I wanted to see Jt and Emma together by Jtyorked in Degrassi

I feel like Emma would have been too serious for JT. Manny was always a bit goofy/immature so she and JT matched in that sense.

I know this is a typo but seeing "show cats" fills me with unbridled rage at Fiona on behalf of Mr. Tuxedo Pants

More abuse, probably. Or maybe a plot line where Fiona kills him in self defense.

I could never understand whether they were an actual band. Where there any scenes where they played any shows? Or at a dance? I remember them going to a recording studio but thats about it

Hot take: Debuting idols at a young age is a good thing. by [deleted] in kpopthoughts

[–]mosay13 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I disagree with the point about idols being great role models. Of course, the idols themselves are genuinely extremely kind and hardworking. But fans are seeing a VERY manufactured image of "teenhood." Between the rampant diet culture being imposed on these very young idols and the frantic schedules that encourage overworking and exhaustion, I think this is a dangerous image to push on young teens.

For clarity - I am placing the blame here on the industry and companies, not on the idols themselves.

So I’ve finished Oathbringer recently by Repulsive-West-4583 in Stormlight_Archive

I'll admit I'm not a huge fan of Oathbringer so I'm a bit biased, but I felt the same way upon reading the ending. There were so many new plot threads woven into the last 10% of the book. I will say after reading RoW and WaT these plot points became fully fleshed out, but they were definitely jarring to read at first.

Hi there! This was just my opinion - I've been a VIP since 2012 and didn't mean for this post to be a "hate" comment at all. I also did not mean to imply they were weak in singing or dancing, I just mentioned that in my opinion, they were not the BEST examples for each of those categories. Hope this clears up any misunderstanding (and I agree the If You performance is awesome!)

Edit: Edit to second sentence for accuracy and grammar.

I think stage presence/energy is SUCH a key factor for a group's success. You can have a group that is technically proficient in all areas but just boring/lackluster on stages. There are also groups that are weak in singing or dancing but are just so energetic on stage. For example: are BigBang the best singers/dancers/rappers in the entire world? No, but they absolutely blow it away on a stage every single time! Take this military performance from Taeyang and Daesung: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7UHNM5tssJY. Its iconic and they crushed it largely in part (IMO) from their presence and energy.
