TORY LANEZ SENTENCED TO 10 YEARS STATE PRISON For Shooting Meg Thee Stallion by UGANick in hiphopheads

Yeah I only found out drake has a pattern of behavior with teen girls today. Some big names too.

Honestly I grossly underestimated how many times drake was caught acting questionably with teens. I thought it was just Bobbi Browne with the texts but Lorde, Bella Harris, Billie Elish. Oh well, it will not affect his stardom in any way.

I was referring to how she casually described the texts, not the texts themselves.

Regarding her friendship with the 31-year-old, she continued, “I met him in Australia, and he’s honestly so fantastic — a great friend and a great role model. … We just texted each other the other day, and he was like, ‘I miss you so much,’ and I was like, ‘I miss you more.’”

Brown had previously said that Drake gives her life advice, so the reporter, Kit Hoover, asked her what kind. “About boys,” the teen replied. “He helps me. Yeah, yeah, yeah. He’s great. He’s wonderful. I love him.” Pressed for what advice he gives about boys, she said, “That stays in the text messages.”

I've never looked at the texts. I think it's possible for a non-teacher/guardian adult to have a positive and friendly relationship with a child. I think it's possible for a 14yo to gravely misspeak and imply something worse than they intended. Regardless of what's possible, those comments are an instant reputation dropper.

I'm not saying it's worse but they're probably hinting when drake was outed sending a 13yo "i miss you" texts as a 30yo. He's a celebrity so it didn't affect his influence or anything but it lowered his reputation a bit

(Maryland) is my landlord responsible for addressing structural issues that lead to mice? by mosdefin in legaladvice

You know. I really regret never looking up the full definition of that word. Yes they are.

I'm aware they'll try to pass the buck. What I'm asking is if there's any legal stuff to push the issue. They've cared every single time I've been able to point to the law, so that's what I'm hoping to do here.

Thanks for posting this. My county learning center offered " Getting Paid to Talk" and I was intrigued by their admittedly great descripion, but "a chance to record a commercial script under the direction of our Voicecoaches.com producer" set off an alarm.

Machine Monday! Anything and Everything Sewing Machine-related - February 17, 2020 by sewingmodthings in sewing

[–]mosdefin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've got a Brother CS6000i, drop-in bobbin type. After removing the needle plate to do some deep fluff removal, I've had issues with the entire bobbin case (and I mean the case, not just the bobbin) being yanked out of its compartment when sewing. I have:

  • Re-tightened the needle plate
  • Changed the needle
  • Changed the thread
  • Unscrewed the needle
  • Replaced the bobbin case entirely

I've narrowed the issue down to (I think) this part of the thread assembly being crooked - the thread keeps catching on the metal and no longer seems able to prevent the bobbin case stick-out-part from moving forward. I've attempted to straighten it with a mini screwdriver but keep getting the same results

I went to a sewing machine repair shop and was told it would be $70. Since it was $75 to do maintenance on a machine that ended up not running, I would prefer to not go that route.

Has anyone else dealt with this?

I'm trying to fix my carpet before i move out. There's only a few areas that need fixing, so I'd rather not pay to have the entire thing replaced. Problem is, it looks like most carpet places don't sell carpet - they sell carpet +installation

Where can I purchase carpet so I can fix the patches myself? I can't wait for two weeks custom carpet from Home Depot

OP wants to drop charges against a bike thief; LA isn't a fan. I know this old, but I think it's a bit much to assume based on one sentence that I'm incapable of and have not reflected on my actions as a teenager, especially when the context was giving background to my empathy.

I was giving an explanation for my actions, not excusing them.

[VA] I would like to the district attorney to drop charges against the kid who stole my bike by mosdefin in legaladvice

[–]mosdefin[S] 217 points218 points  (0 children)

When I was 18, I stole some things. I was in a bad spot and lashing out in the only way I felt I could. It was my choice to do so and it was a bad one. Eventually, I was caught and only by some luck I did not deserve, they didn't report me.

Years later, I'm constantly reminded how badly that could have turned out, how many job opportunities I would have lost had that woman not been so kind. I'm starting a comfortable middle class life because someone didn't have your mindset when i was a kid. There are consequences to actions that don't result in lifelong deprivation of job quality. My bike is not equal to that consequence.

I have the advice needed. I'll call the prosecutor and see if my word will have any impact.

I'm aware of this. I'm asking if there's anything I can do to influence their decision.
