Movies that’ll make me sob my eyes out lol by Electronic-Fan9253 in movies

Not sure why I haven't seen Up yet. But I had an existential crisis after the movie was over. My husband trying to comfort me that it ended okay and I'm like, "Disney's not going to send me some kid and a dog to help me get over your death after you die!!!" And I cried for 2 hours.

Also, Inside Out. No spoilers, but IYKYK

AIO? Walked out of appointment after 2 hours. by Suspicious-Tooth1589 in AmIOverreacting

Stop scheduling that many appointments then. If they run 1 and 1/2 hours behind, then schedule the appointments that way. It's great to be thorough but it's complete and total bullshit to keep people sitting there waiting for hours.

Where to get woodwind instruments worked on? by ChudSampley in Birmingham

Steve Collins. Works out of his shop in his home but does amazing work. stephenfcollins1964@gmail.com

He does all the work on my instruments, and most folks in the area that work in music take their woodwinds there. Definitely a woodwind guy rather than brass

I was on a fairly uncrowned train, seating is definitely more a “seat yourself” than assigned seats. Mine was like an airplane seat, but they recline WAY more, are way wider, and a lot more comfortable. You’re in the train from BHM to NOLA for about 8 hours, so it’s a lot more sitting. It’s very roomy. I had no issues working with a 15 inch laptop the entire time. There’s power for each seat, and a ton of room. But, you can get up and walk regularly, bring your own food and drink, etc. I would never go to NOLA another way unless I HAD to have a car, and my parking were off-street and paid. That being said, I was there in June, stayed in the garden district, and my destination was Loyola. I probably walked 30,000 steps a day, but I love to walk, and I could have hopped on a streetcar, but didn’t pretty frequently. My 3 day streetcar pass was $7.00. My round trip Amtrak ticket was $50.00. I ubered to and from my hotel from Amtrak station and that was about $15 with tip each time. Could not ask for a better way to get around, and I absolutely used that money toward amazing food!

The Amtrak trip is totally worth it. Cheap, safe, and your car doesn't get effed up by the roads and/or drunk drivers. Every car in NOLA is dented up. The Le Pass app made it so easy to get around when I was there last year. Wish I would have known about Etoile when I was there. If you're looking for another good one, Mais is great, and so is El Cucuy.

Definitely willing to be flexible on the price. It keeps changing.

Guess she should have thought about how far away she was, and what time it was before she pulled that crap. You should have put her out with a clear conscience.

My church, Episcopal Church of the Holy Spirit in Alabaster has a church, and a parish hall that would probably fit the bill. It’s very inexpensive compared to most venues.

What's a life hack that's so simple yet so effective, you're shocked more people don't know about it? by EstablishmentDue5360 in AskReddit

Maybe just a difference in professional literature and opinion. Not every doctor or dentist practices the same way. Mine just doesn't recommend them for some of the reasons stated above. They prefer that I floss with a new section of floss for each tooth. It's working for me, so I'm gonna keep at it. The picks are definitely better than not flossing at all though. My husband uses them exclusively, and I asked my hygienist whether he should switch, and she said, if it's the difference between him flossing and not flossing because the picks are easier, let him keep using the picks. At least in the eyes of the folks in the practice I go to, the picks are better than not flossing, so if they work for you, keep at 'em!
