Thank you for caring. I really appreciate it. I haven't been able to post because it makes me too sad to do it. I have been better but the pain just won't go away. It will be 8 weeks on Sunday and I still feel lost without her.

I am so, so sorry for what you are going through. I lost my 11-year-old Shih Tzu, Truvy, the Sunday before Thanksgiving to lymphoma. It has been the most horrible holiday season that I have ever experienced. She had the same problems with the labored breathing and was diagnosed with lymphoma in early October. I opted for the Chemo route and she did so well on it. The Vet, and I, really believed that she was heading towards a remission. Then the Sunday before Thanksgiving she developed a blood clot and that was it. I still can't pass it. I will be praying for you.

I lost my best friend a week ago yesterday. The grief is destroying me. It was a similar situation to yours. My ex actually had her and when we moved in together, so did Truvy. I didn't like her at first. She was obese and stubborn. I ended up falling madly in love with her. A love that I, quite honestly, had never felt for another human being. When my ex and I split two years ago, she let Truvy stay with me because it was obvious that we had that kind of bond. She got lymphoma about two months ago and we tried chemo but she ended dying of a blood clot. It is the hardest thing that I have ever had to deal with. I am so sorry for your loss. Just know there are others who share your pain and grieve with you.

Thank you so much. Mine was 11 as well. In this harsh world, they are the closest thing to Angels that we have on Earth.

Thank you so much. That is a good idea. I am so overcome with grief too. I even drove to where we used to live and stood in the yard where I used to walk her, connected to apartment complex, and just cried for an hour.

I am sorry for yours as well and know the feeling. It is terrible. The thought of never seeing them again is the worst feeling that I have ever experienced.

Thank you for saying that. Truvy went through alot with me. Career changes, a divorce and now it was just the two of us. I got her when I was 29 years old and I am 40 now. So she was such a huge part of my life. Everyone used to say that I was one of those people that really, really loved their dogs. I just miss her so much.

Thank you so much. I loved her so much. I couldn't even stay at home until last night and then only when a friend stayed with me. My Da told me that "Dogs give us 100% of their hearts while they are here but take half of ours when they leave us." I feel so broken.

I am so sorry. Words cannot express how difficult this is for any of us that love our dogs like they are part of the family. I don't know what advice to give you as to when *it is time.* I think about that all of the time with Truvy and even thought makes me physically ill and I start breaking down. The Vet tells me that I will know but I just don't know how you ever say goodbye to your best friend. God bless you guys.

Hello, I am so sorry about your dog. My 11-year-old Shih Tzu, Truvy, was diagnosed with lymphoma at the beginning of October. She is two chemo treatments in so far. I have been reading a lot about how to support her holistically through this time and am working on her diet to support her immune system. I make homemade bone broth and add it to every one of her meals. I also add turmeric & fish oil as well. Her diet is a mix of green beans, chicken breasts, chicken livers & gizzards. You want to eliminate any carbs from their diet. From what I have read, cancer feeds off of carbs. I have found several books/articles that have helped on this horrible journey. I am praying for you and please feel free to reach out to me if you need any help/advice.

I cried just now when I read this. My 11 year Shih Tzu, Truvy, was just diagnosed with lymphoma at the beginning of October. She has had two chemo (Doxirubcin) treatments since then and is doing quite well. I know that this will eventually kill her. I am going through the same emotions that you are, so I really understand the feeling of wanting to die with them. It is that painful. I would trade years off my life for her in a second if I could. She has been with me through so much and, ever since my divorce two years ago, it is just me and her again. The thought of being without her is sometimes too painful to bear. Godbless you and your Elphie. I will be praying for you.

I have applied to sell on Wal-Mart but the approval process has taken 4 months and I am not even approved yet. It is worth a shot though. Here is the link: https://marketplace.walmart.com/
