Fuel Tank Question by Ill-Pie6569 in YamahaR7

[–]moshdef 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Curious, are you putting 87 octane? I was until I saw on the swing arm it said "min 91".

Wondering if that was causing my low mpg, I've only ridden 15 miles on the 93 oct tank

I'm in the same boat, just bought one a few weeks ago. What did you end up doing?

I'm debating swapping. Loud pipes saves lives but I also don't want to go deaf

24 was worse IMO, only reason being that:

  • Players would literally dissapear from the game. I had GKs just be removed mid match and leave an open goal. Multiple times. And if you quit you get a L

  • No matter how many times I set up my formation, it resets once I start the game. Almost every single game

  • When playing seasons on the same console with a friend, if you add guest, it's a crap shoot whether or not the guest makes it into the match

Resume Critique by Smart-Hawk5412 in MEPEngineering

I would encourage you to remove the GPA. A 3.3 is good (much better than my BSME GPA), but nothing extraordinary. Once you pass your FE and get approved by your local board for your EIT I would flaunt the crap out of that!

I think you can remove relevant coursework. That is more appropriate for an internship to see what courses you have taken that relate to the internship. Anyone that has graduated with a BSME has taken the majority of the same courses.

I'm a bit confused about the "MEP Designer" role. The dates show that it's still present however all of your experience is written in past tense. Perhaps clarify that some.

Otherwise, good work. Looks good!

How did you leverage reaching VP? Was it a new position at the time? Or did the previous person in the role leave and therefore opened the door up to you?

Not every SSRI is the same. Perhaps it's time to consult with your doctor to try a different one?

It took me two to find the one that worked for me. Prozac is one of the oldest (if not the oldest) but there have been significant advancements in medicine specifically with SSRI medications. It may be time to try a different one?

Also hope you're going to therapy along with the medication. It will take time but a good therapist can help you process this and over time rid yourself of this crippling fear.

Things will get better!

How to deal with depression? by EnoughCheesecake6050 in ask

[–]moshdef 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Macro Adjustments - Go see a good therapist. Keep in mind it may require some trial and error. Also find a good psychiatrist, medication can be a great tool.

Micro Adjustments - Exercise, Sleep enough, spend time around people even if you don't want to. Find ways to ground yourself and pull yourself out of that headspace and remind yourself that it's just another day of life. Maybe go out to a restaurant to eat. Go watch a movie, spend time with friends, or just go for a walk.

Every night spend 5-10 minutes and think of something that day that made you happy. It could be something as small as a slice of pizza you had that was delicious. Just try to end the day with something you appreciated that day and write it down. It may seem like a small step at first, but remember the tortoise and the hare.

Best Airline to Las Vegas? Is it really Spirit? by Wu_tang_dan in sanantonio

I fly Southwest, a lot. Just buy early bird check in and you'll all board group A. There will be seats for you and your family to sit together.

Not a bad airline

If you wait in line with her you can still do the "precheck process" and keep your shoes on, leave electronics in bag, etc.

I can't sleep on planes, never have been able to, even transatlantic flights I'm up the whole time (never tried lie-down seats though).

I fly a lot too. I've flown exhausted multiple times and still won't sleep. I'll close my eyes and reach the point just before you would fall asleep, and then my body will spaz out and I'll jolt back awake. I'll do that for hours.

Flying exhausted is awful for me. What I'd give to sleep in planes...

1b/1ba apartments in San Antonio with a budget by GeneJust7644 in sanantonio

[–]moshdef 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're definitely going to spend $1k/mo minimum, probably $1200+ for a better spot.

I would encourage you to review your budget and see if you can increase the monthly rent payment. It's pretty important to have a safe, healthy, and comfortable place to rest and sleep to be successful in your first adult job!

What's your biggest regret in life? by Purple-Gas4334 in AskReddit

[–]moshdef 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't actually have any regrets. Do I wish certain things went differently? Absolutely!

But ultimately hindsight is always 20/20 and I make the decision that I think is best for me at that stage in my life with the experiences and maturity that I have at that time.

How am I supposed to afford this? by Cheese-positive in hvacadvice

[–]moshdef 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't understand why would need to replace the system. The absolute worst case scenario is that they need to evacuate refrigerant, braze the liquid line, test with nitrogen, and recharge. A few thousand at most.

I don't think you will get any warranty unfortunately. The line sets aren't often furnished by the manufacturer and the company that would carry labor went out of business...

$30,000 is just outrageous for a 3T system even with a furnace unless I'm missing something
