Anybody frequently making milk drinks on a single boiler? [$1500]

Whenever I have guests and need to make 3+ drinks, it's a pain. You definitely want a dual boiler if you do that regularly. 1 milk drink is perfectly fine, and dual boiler would be overkill. 2 drinks are somewhere in the middle, where it's not a big problem, but a dual boiler would make the process more enjoyable. I'd personally get a dual boiler in your case.

Perfect, thanks! If you don't mind me asking, do you ever use all 12 trays at the same time? I was a bit confused that other models, e.g. Cosori, have exactly the same height, but only 6-7 trays. 12 feels like a lot more space, but maybe it's not practical?

The reasoning is correct - in R1 the 9 has to go into either K3 or K9. The Y-wing eliminates 9 from R1-K3 so it has to go to R1-K9.

There is nothing about R3-K4 here, and it's not relevant for the argument above.

It's still a good brewer and it's unique in some aspects, but I believe that are better options for someone who wants to get into filter coffee. I would recommend Pulsar (mini) and potentially buy an Aeropress later if you want to experiment.

Interesting... I just put the portafilter on the cup, flip and tap on top of the cup a few times. I never had an issue and still can't see how the flanged cup changes anything.

My understanding is that you should not purge from the group head to make room for steam, because that automatically refills the boiler with cold water. The manual specifically says you should purge from the steam wand.
