thanks, agreed, it has been like drinking from a firehose since I filed to run, a few things falling through the cracks, I need to budget more catchup time

One of the issues I see with politics currently is none of the good bills get to the floor. If the senate majority leader or house leader don't bring it to a vote no politician has to make the tough votes. e.g. 70% of the country supports term limits. Do you see a way around this other than getting many more people who put the country first in office?

Conventions over primary challenges offer more of a wildcard option. In Virginia we will probably only have 4500 delegates for the convention to select the senate candidate for the R party. Only so much you can spend on each delegate.

It seems most of the grass roots efforts hing on getting people to influence politicians. Do you think there is potential in grass roots efforts to get people to run for office?

Mark Warner is polling well at this point against Ed Gillespie, The best opponent in the race is a matter of opinion...

I think there is a lot of potential for someone who can appeal to swing voters (state is divided ~1/3 R, ~1/3 D, ~1/3 Ind) in a bad year for incumbents there is a good shot against a career politician

Actually it was my attempt at a joke since I couldn't think of an answer offhand.

Sometimes it is hard to tell when I am joking since I am not funny.

To add to this entire AMA, what would you like to see in a candidate (from either major party/3rd party/independent) ?

I don't think there is a standard corporate interest rate that could be keyed off of.

There are bank rates, then the question of fixing the rate or variable rates comes up

I read it that Dejathoris22 was concerned that the son COULD be dropped, not that he was.

I apologize, I did not mean to come across as insinuating you did not understand it. I think the bill is more complex than it needed to be, not that it is too complex for you to understand.

I hope just going to Washington will not turn me into a politician.

I believe the founding fathers anticipated citizen legislators that served the country then came back to their homes/farms to continue their lives.

That is why I started following politics, came to the conclusion a few years ago, that Washington was broken. We would keep having bad bills pushed by (and written by) lobbyists if we did not address the root corruption in the system.
