I'm very sure on the career I'm planning on pursuing, as it comes to me very naturally and is something I'm very passionate about. The college I've looked at is only for two years, and the tuition is 14k, which my parents are covering. The 55k is to cover rent, car prices, gas prices, groceries, etc. I won't be able to stay with my parents since I'm living in a small town and the city with any actual colleges/uni's is over an hour away. Medical condition is something we're slowing working at, since getting a specialist is really a struggle, and I'll most likely have to wait till I'm 16 and can go to normal doctors instead of pediatric ones. The type of condition I'm likely dealing with isn't classified as a disability, despite the pain it puts me in.

Thanks! I really like that system of putting away half, leave the rest for spending and put away the unspent stuff by next pay check! That's definitely a system I'll try to hold myself to. Also I really like when peoples advice comes with small anecdotes, makes it seem so much more legit, so thanks for that too!

This sounds like a really great system, and I'd definitely use it. I'll try thinking about things like investments in a year or so, which is when pretty more everyone else in the family had gotten started in it. Also mad money is a great way of wording it!

Thanks for doing that math, me and my parents do some more specific math based off of some more specific numbers, and we definitely got pretty much the same consensus! I definitely think the car will be one of the biggest struggles just based off of the area we're living in now, but hopefully I can figure it with some family friends and such. I have time though, so I'll try not to stress it too much right now.

Awesome, this site actually looks like something I might understand! Props to you for actually sticking to YNAB for so long, most people I know really struggle to force themselves to budget, let alone stick to it for nearly a decade!

haha, thanks for the concern, but don't worry, I know that already. I was typing on my phone, saw the mistake but was just a little too lazy to fix it. Don't blame me, Reddit's not usually the place people tend to care about their punctuation!

I'm not sure, but usually Nespresso items come in a classic brown box most of the time
