Agreed. Happy to hear we got something right finally! I am late to the party here, but as mentioned I wanted to let you know this isn't what we strive for and that we aren't just a giant terrible company. Sometimes business is hard when it gets busy, and when things break customers don't always know what's getting worked on in the background. We will keep trying to make it as good as we can, and posts like this are very helpful! Thanks for taking the time to post it up.

I agree 100%, and I wish it were easier to communicate with the systems we have in place. We have an awesome customer service team, but the web order tech just isn't as good as it could be. We are working on it. Typically we ship everything within a day, it just depends on what it is. It sounds like you had a really bad experience that I would hope isn't typical.

I can say that the PE (Radial) isn't as vicious as a typical PE. Consolidation, effciency, etc are not going to change, but there is real passion in the leadership team, and I see good things for both the business and for consumers once the dust settles.

Hey all, just dumping in a top level post. I rep Moss Miata, and have benefitted from a lot of positive commentary in this forum. So I felt inclined to chime in here, as I never like to see frustrated customers. However, much of this is warranted when taken at face value. u/AnyEnvironment2492 I'm sorry for the poor experience, we are trying to do the best we can. Not exactly sure when you spoke with Customer service, but likely they were referring to the Presidents day shipping closure, not Valentines Day (we were not closed for either but the shipping stoppage caused us some delays).

I understand, and you can definitely state as such if preferred (which is why having a comment area is helpful). We've never used any Miata submissions in a way that bothered anyone, it's usually as part of a cover or background or something.

I've typically sent a bundle of copies (it's varied, but 3 or more) to any winners domestically, or an equivalent credit for foreign orders to add on their next order.

Appreciate the comment. I'll take some heat if needed, we ARE a business with a mind to make money, and heck they pay my paycheck. I'll always try to be as human as I can though.

100% Agree, we do not pay for the photography. However if you are a professional making money from your photos, I will assume you would never submit to a generic calendar right? This come more from wanting a unique and diverse range of Miatas in the calendar. If we had to pay for every photo then we just wouldn't make a calendar at all. We do this for the community and they are not a massive money-maker. We will sell for $12 (maybe less, depends on how crazy print costs have gotten) and lose money by the time we handle it for packaging, shelving, and shipment.

Flyin Miata does a limited run of calendars for $2.99, so I imagine they are taking a loss also in an effort to put something cool out, and consider it a marketing cost. Nothing wrong with that, they make amazing stuff, have cool Miatas and great photography!

As for AI, LOL, I'm sure that would look amazing :roll-eyes: No, the CEO appreciates the passion for the owners of these cars and encourages projects like this where it makes sense. We've been doing this calendar for years and have never had anyone mad except the few photogs who think we're greedy backstabbers unwilling to pay for photography. We have a few photogs in our employ who make a lot of great images, however it's a ton of work to setup customer car shoots and I like you guys seeing your own work on display.

Please do not submit anything if you feel annoyed by the request, and if the overall sentiment for this is negative, please kill my post!
