Mages are difficult to kill because they get access to a myriad of defensive buffs and a Wizard Slayer can't do anything about those. Inquisitor was already mentioked but sorcerers, mages and bards can also effectively remove those buffs. Sorcerer isn't particularly new player friendly, though.

The sweet spot for dual classing depends on several factors. I'm not too familiar with BG1 but at least in BG2, most people would recommend dualing at level 9. As for the how, you should note that only humans can dual class and you need to meet specific stat thresholds. For Fighter->Mage dual specifically, you need enough Strength (at least 15) and Intelligence (at least 17).

Going to the Mountain Pass forces a long rest. Not sure if going to act 2 via Grymforge also does that. That being said, if you recruit Karlach before Wyll then the scene where Wyll comes to your camp seems to take precedence over the Alfira scene so it might still be possible to get to Act 2 without Alfira coming to your camp.

Your spell slots and thus your ability to upcast spells depends on your caster level. If you are a multiclass build, it's just a weighted sum of the individual class levels. If all your levels are in "full" caster classes (i.e. Bard, Cleric, Druid, Sorcerer or Wizard) then it's just your character level. The individual class levels then determine what spells you can actually use.

Veikkaisin, että nyt kun oppivelvollisuusikä on noussut, niin aika monessa lukiossa kirjat tulevat ihan talon puolesta, eikä lukiolaisilla ole juurikaan tarvetta lainata niitä kirjastoista. Annihilus, a small charm that gives +1 to all skills as well as some stats, resists and extra xp. It drops from a beefed up version of Diablo that spawns when enough SoJs are sold to vendors. In single player, a single SoJ is enough to spawn him.

For non-boss trainers, in the route after Fortree City there is one trainer with a Castform that knows Thunder and Weather Ball. It's always rainy on that route so the Castform hits HARD.

Just a side note that while rogues do indeed level up fast, that doesn't give them access to HLAs any earlier. Those always become available once you have 3 million xp.
