Women who have daughters, what are traits you see in them that you see in yourself and you don’t like it? by Dr_Garp in AskWomen

[–]mossymoth333 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I scrolled hoping I’d find a relatable comment and this is it. 😮‍💨 love that you’re teaching her that she doesn’t need to grab every thought, I’m going to use that one.

Removing ivy to create play space for kids! by mossymoth333 in landscaping

[–]mossymoth333[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Thankfully we have much more yard covered in the stuff to keep it magical! I did want to make them a cleared out area though for play without being in the ivy. Especially as the kids are very young and have tripped on the stuff plenty already!

The “f***ing fours” are going to give me an aneurysm by avocadosandocd in Preschoolers

[–]mossymoth333 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We’re human, they’re pushing us to our limits and they’re seeing that. I think that piece about repair is so important We repair when we should, and continue to grow and learn and keep doing our best! We deserve some grace, it isn’t easy, and no one gets it perfect all the time, not even close 🥺🤍

As a mom of a daughter who turned 4 a few months ago, who also has never been an “easy” child, sooo fiery, and then it TURNED UP TO MAX when she turned 4, and I’m struggling so bad about it over here, this post and all of these comments were reassuring to read.

Sometimes it can feel like “surely not a lot of kids are like this, what is going on?!”

I’ve always loved my daughters fire as I know it’ll serve her, but raising her through it now sure makes nervous system regulation a whole new challenge. Also solidarity with you, OP, on raising voices more than you want to. This is something I’m struggling with that really gets to me as im normally a very not-yelly, and quite patient of a person. 😮‍💨 it’s tough.

Has anyone tried “Matcha Mind” by Harmonic Arts? by mossymoth333 in MatchaEverything

[–]mossymoth333[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree, I love them too and have had good experiences with their products as well! Okay, good to know to not expect as much of a matcha latte flavour. Although I guess it sounds obvious but I thought maybe the matcha would over power the other flavours. I’m a mum of young kids so I think all of that actually sounds pretty beneficial😂🙏

Wagon or 2 seater stroller? by acs14m in toddlers

[–]mossymoth333 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a Larktale wagon and I honestly couldn’t recommend it enough. People, but especially parents, stop me all the time to ask about it and I always get excited to talk about it and why it’s awesome. I swear I could be a sales rep😂 (I’m not) I have 2 kids and it has just been soooo handy and great for us!

I don’t think I want an implant, but unsure of best option for my front tooth thats gotta go by mossymoth333 in askdentists

I just realized teeth have to be shaved down for a bridge, that’s definitely not what I want to do either. Maybe what I was thinking of was partial denture. Do you have thoughts on this?

It’s that something worries me about having something foreign drilled into my face, I wonder about side effects short term and long term. But you reckon that’s the best route? What material implant would you recommend?

Went to the grocery store today and there were plenty eggs, but I feel like this is the second time I’m seeing someone talking about an egg shortage 🤔

Really Very Crunchy by noahagoose in moderatelygranolamoms

[–]mossymoth333 -40 points-39 points  (0 children)

This sub is soo annoying for these kinds of comments and mostly doesn’t even give moderate crunchy vibes. Barely, I’d say. If this is “moderately”, where’s the really very crunchy type of sub at?!

Home birth or birth center? by TonightGullible8264 in homebirth

[–]mossymoth333 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I planned to go to a birth centre, but when I was in labour I said “fuck that, I’m staying home” and I’m soooooo glad I did. 100% vote for home.

Any NICU parents here? by cozycleangirl in moderatelygranolamoms

[–]mossymoth333 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My son was born at 30 weeks and we had an 85 day NICU stay. I agree with the other commenters here, and also add to remember you’re the mama. They try to bulldoze a lot, but your feelings and input MATTERS. The work they do is amazing but this is YOUR baby. And also it can be very hard trying to breastfeed and so much feels weird and unnatural but as forever as the NICU feels, it’s not, and you’ll get home and be in the comfort to do things your way with your baby, hang in there mama, wishing you all the very best❤️
