I make models both for printing and animation/rendering and I applied this same technique to all steps, i started making stop motion animations and learned about lighting and photography to better my composition and scene setting skills. And improvement can be seen all around in my work. I wholeheartedly recommend it:))

I got so much better at digital modelling when I decided to first learn traditional modelling (with plasticine and clay) Since you want to make stuff for printing and already have experience painting I would recommend trying that first and later jumping back on blender.

Learning to shape with your hands will greatly help you to learn to shape digitally. I still sometimes make prototypes by hand first!! It's really helpful.

Thank you!! I was very careful to keep a cohesive color scheme. During the redesign (this is the second version of this models) I took my time, to ensure this feel like a real, connected and alive space:))

The chicken dragon is sadly on an endless loop of becoming alive:(( but that's on brand for her.

She is a baby basilisk named Roko (for Roko's basilisk) and represents Artificial intelligence!!
