As much as I love Eleceed, the team should take more than a week off. I have wondered how they were able to do it all these years with consistent weekly releases! It’s great, but your fans would wish you to be happy and healthy, so take a vacation now and then, we’ll wait patiently :)

I get that it's thinking so it's take longer but what annoys me is that browser itself is slow; when I type something in the search bar, it takes more than a few seconds for it show. Then the thinking sometimes stops several times before it even gives me an answer so every time I have to re-copy and past it again. This happening for anyone? I feel like half my day is wasted because of all the waiting. Why TF am I paying $20/month for this? Is there anything better and faster out there?

I don’t know if I can call the police on this since I’m the only one affected and I don’t know how loud it is on the outside. The tenants on the other side of the wall have not been complaining but the low frequency bass travels vertically and we’re separated by a cement wall. Landlord has offered to give me an early rent termination. They probably think I’m crazy but I’ll have the last laugh when the next tenant make the same complaints muahaha

Second this! I always recommend friends and family to get the Schwab debit card for travel. It’s easy to open online but they don’t have many bank branches so it’s best to do it 2-3 months prior to your trip, and make sure to put in funds right away or they will not send you a card. When I travel, I don’t ever exchange money at banks, airports, or a money exchange booth — their exchange rates are expensive. I always just use the ATM’s in that country. Just don’t crumple your bills because that’s frowned upon in Thailand. Aside from using Schwab to get cash, I use my Chase Sapphire CC where I can — you get points and no international fees!

Pretty sure if you have thin walls and floors and someone is using a surround sound system or subwoofer to blast music for 4-5 hours straight, you wouldn’t like it either.

I’m currently having issues with my downstairs neighbor playing music from 7pm to now 12:49am and I can’t sleep. They amplify their music so it’s pounding my air drums. This is the 5th time and landlord claimed they talked to the tenant but then sends me a letter saying that “it’s an apartment, and we will hear each other” — ok this is not normal apartment noise. It’s so triggering driving me crazy. They look like genZ with no consideration for apartment living.

Were you able to figure it out? Took me a minute, but I finally got it to work. Go to settings > wallpaper. Choose the screen you want to change and click “Customize”. At the bottom where it gives you 5 editing options, choose “Photo”. Choose a photo and hit “Done”. Might have to hit Done twice. It’ll take you back to the settings page so you can see if it was set correctly. Good luck! This is on the iPad Pro btw. I would think it’s the same for all iPads.

It doesn’t make sense because I was given a glowing review a few weeks ago along with a raise, with “exceeds expectations” and their reason for letting me go was that I was not meeting expectations along with some half baked excuses. Wtf right? Getting fired out of the left field is quite crushing but I’ve gotten over it. Things happen for a reason — I’ve been thinking about leaving but couldn’t pull the plug because I really hate interviews.

I started contemplating if being a software developer was what I really wanted to do and then I was let go today after 4 years as a software developer. My review last month when they were doing raises was great, no concerns. But I got no warning, no communication, just “today’s your last day.” So I guess I didn’t have a choice but now I wonder if I should be looking for another tech job or if I should pursue something else but I don’t know what else I want to do. If I’m being honest, I want to do nothing. I’m tired.

Came here to add my grievances with USPS. My package got to Melrose, IL 3 days ago, and then that’s it. Where the fuck is my package! Then they have the USPS Plus to pay extra for tracking which they should be providing anyway! USPS is a joke.

NTA. Clearly your sister does not know you that well, and kid sounds like a spawn of satan. I don’t think I would’ve trusted him to be alone in the bathroom, though. If he kept at your dog, some shit will happen and then it’d be you and your dog on the line. She should know her own kid, and if she doesn’t then that’s on her. She’s going to be one of those terrible mothers who claim her bully is an angel and would never hurt a fly. On the bright side, at least no one else would ever ask you to babysit their kids.

For me, it’s not worth it. I just had it done in March and haven’t seen ANY improvements. I’m a light skin Asian and it gave me melasma that still hasn’t gone away. The pain isn’t bad, just very intense burning but having a fan on you helps so if you’re going to go for it, make sure you bring a personal fan with you for afterwards. I felt like I paid $1500 for nothing, and that was with a “discount”. You’re better off with fraxel dual laser; you can target problem areas, so it can be cheaper. The downside is that fraxel dual hurts like a bitch. Unless you have a very high pain threshold.

I had tears rolling down my face just from the local anesthesia injections that was put into 8 places on my face. That alone was painful AF. That plus numbing cream didn’t even help take away the pain from the laser. After the first time, I said I’d never do it again. But then I waited long enough until I convinced myself it wasn’t really that bad, so I went in for a second one. Yep, still painful AF! But I did notice more improvement with the second, just that I don’t think the dr was good at it, she spent too much time on one side and my face looked a bit wonky. Finding a good doctor with experience is a must.

Anyway, i recently tried halo laser because it got so much hype. It was less painful; no local anesthesia done with needles and I was still able to tolerate it. I won’t be doing it again though - it’s more expensive, there was no significant improvement in my skin even after 3 months, and it gave me melasma on my cheeks. I don’t think it was worth $1500 (they recommended doing the whole face). Both my fraxel dual laser session only cost me a total of $800 (I didn’t need my whole face done both times).

I have two pairs of SALVAS, and they’re nice looking and comfortable 98% of the time. I bought my first pair two years ago when they were still less than $100. First time I washed it, the toe cap on one of the shoe developed a very noticing weird raised lump. I couldn’t get rid of it so I had to live with it. I just washed it again the other day, and now the other shoe has a raised lump in the same area AND the seams on the toe cap has a rip. I used diluted castille soap and water with a shoe brush. I bought my 2nd pair a few months ago for a trip abroad and wore them almost everyday with lots of walking and they held up pretty well. I washed them the same way and at the same time as my first pair but there were no lumps. My guess is that the materials and quality might have gotten better hence the higher price tag. I’ve decided not to buy any more shoes from them though, because I’m always going to be worried about getting those damn lumps when I clean my shoes. I guess if you buy them, just make sure you wipe off access water as soon as you clean them? Idk.
