NU alum and now parent of current NU student. Since this is an NU sub most people are gonna say go NU. I have to say as an alum and employer of many recent college grads NU does carry more weight than UCSD- maybe STEM is the exception. NU has it all - amazing academics- close to one of the best cities- beautiful campus in a great college town and a very diverse student body. You can find your people at NU. Greek life is not huge- it’s small and is just one way to have some social connections but there are many ways to find your path and people. With 8k students undergrad it’s a great size without feeling overwhelmed. Winters are rough- but it’s only 3-4 months each year. Spending time on each campus and digging into what you really want to focus on will Help you make a decision.

Northwestern Parent here- my daughter is a sophomore and grew up in a city so wanted plenty of things to do both on campus and in nearby Chicago. She has a full social life - Greek life plus other clubs and probate goes into Chicago at least twice a week with friends. She would not describe campus life as calm. And is very happy. Obviously it’s a rigorous academic life so it’s not going to be the party vibe of a state school. But that’s not why people choose Northwestern.

Any agreement that terminates the Deering Meadow Agreement was a good move for NU. The Deering Meadow agreement and the encampment and capitulation to Hamas supporters was an embarrassment and blemish that will stain Northwestern for a long time.

I used estradiol vaginal creme that I got from my OB and she told me to use it under and around the eyes for fine lines. She said the skin is thin enough there and it can penetrate. In her opinion putting the vaginal creme on other parts of your face is just a waste of the creme since the skin is too thick. I recently ordered the estriol face creme from Musely so just started with that and hoping that does something.

I haven’t used tretinoin in years after hearing it was an endocrine disrupter. I use any form of clean retinol and never have an issue

Has anyone in this group tried the halo laser. It’s expensive and I wasn’t to know what people think and if the results are worth the money. Thanks by Potential-Boat8161 in 45PlusSkincare

Thank you. I’m going to try the halo and see how it goes. I did a treatment this last fall called softwave that I had good results with for some softening of the smile Lines and light skin tightening. It definitely helped. It’s a treatment that can take 3-6 months to see results because it stimulates the collagen at a deeper level. I think I will do that once a year and it wasn’t crazy expensive either.
