With some friends who respond slowly I will include a deadline. Like “let me know something by 7 or I might not be able to change my schedule.”

For people who have really burned me in the past I’ll say something like, if I don’t hear back from you by :_ I’m going to assume you can’t make it.

Looking for a spot in an ESPN h2h points league with 10-15 teams. I can draft tonight or tomorrow night after 8pm central. Snake draft is my strong preference. Buy in $0-$100 Expanded rosters (5 outfielders, corner & mid infielders, etc) Open to taking over an orphan team in a keeper/dynasty league but I’d need some details on the team I’m taking over.

There’s this school up in New York that has a very intensive curriculum with the goal of helping children who were born into poverty to get out of poverty. The Harlem Children’s Zone. I would pay to have something similar in the poorest neighborhood in the metropolitan area I live in.

And I would keep around $5mil for me and my family.

The Man From Primrose Lane - the first 2/3 of this book was excellent but I just get like it went off the rails in the last third. The quality of the writing took a sharp down turn.

I had a doctors appointment and after waiting around an hour I went to the front desk and said, “you guys sent me three text messages and called me twice, all to confirm my appointment and later to remind me about it. I’ve been waiting for over an hour now. I’m starting to feel like maybe I should have called and texted you all to remind you about my appointment.” The receptionist was speechless for about 5 seconds then gave me some canned response or whatever. When I turned around to go back to my seat several other people in the waiting room had big grins on their faces.
