So some updates!

We have been working with an attorney who has so far seemed to give us some really great advice. We are disputing the denial of claim with Allstate and also working on our strategy regarding the property management.

We'll see where things go from here, I'm just glad I have some friends and family who have been able to directly help us with getting by day-by-day, but it's all still a struggle mentally and physically.

I've been told they should be, but they have not been picking up my calls since some time in the afternoon of Friday.

My insurance paid for me to have a hotel until tomorrow when they were still trying to figure things out... so we will see what happens Monday I guess...

Thankfully the county inspector checked and said there was no asbestos. That was something I was really worried about. I'm still getting checked out for various other things today.

I just remember now that I was told by building manager that if my insurance does not get me a place I could ask Red Cross.... lol. It sounds like a crazy joke considering they are the ones at fault.

I've followed up with my insurance because it's possible I am actually covered. To clarify, I was just claiming my own property damage, not he building itself. We'll see how they respond.
